Hi Everyone

As of today and over the next few weeks we will have a couple of new vets joining the team at BVS some for a short time and others for a little longer.

I would like to welcome Dr Claudia Neverauskas who joined us today and will be with us over the next few weeks.
Welcome to the BVS team Claudia and we hope you enjoy your stay in Tasmania.

By having Claudia join the team this has given us the opportunity to be able to open up some more appointment spots making it easier to be able to accomodate on the day availability.

We will be closed from Friday 29th March through to Monday 1st April inclusive for the Easter Break opening as per normal on Tuesday 2nd April 2024.

Please note our Saturday dates for trading for April 2024:

We have received a shipment of cat vaccinations and have appointments! Now is the time to catch you feline friend up with their vaccinations and health check. Hi All

You may be aware of the shortage of cat vaccinations that has hit hard across Australia. Whilst we have been lucky up to now to be minimally affected; we are now running very low on cat vaccinations.

We will be following the guidelines set forth by the Australian Veterinary Association (https://www.ava.com.au/news/feline-vaccine-shortage/). We will be prioritising kittens and cats going into catteries at this stage. Adult cats that have previously been vaccinated will need to have their vaccinations delayed until stock returns. Studies have shown this is likely to have no affect on the cat's health and risk of catching diseases.

If you receive a reminder for a vaccination, please call us and we will place you on the wait list. This will mean that you will be one of the first contacted when we have stock.

Hi All

This year for the first time in a long time we will not be open during the Christmas and New Year period.
We will be closed as of Saturday the 23rd December 2023 through until Monday the 1st January 2024 inclusive.
From Tuesday the 2nd January 2024 we will be trading as normal.

If you are going to be needing any medications while we are closed please order and collect them before 5pm on Friday 22nd December 2023.

I would like take this opportunity to wish all our clients and fur babies a safe and very Merry Christmas.

We had our Christmas Dinner last Saturday night and a great time was had by all. Well done to Anna who made her own parrot costume for the night!
I want to thank all staff members for their hard work, dedication and contributions to Brighton Veterinary Services over the last twelve months.

DOG WASH NOW AVAILABLE...........

Brighton Vets now has a dog wash machine set up in the car park on the left hand side next to the clinic.
Come on down and give your dog a pamper treatment with a wash and blow dry.
Ten dollars for ten minutes with the machine taking notes, card and coins.
Available for use 24/7 under camera surveillance.

As you are all aware this Thursday the 26th October 2023 is a public holiday for show day which means the clinic will be closed.
The clinic will also be closed on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th - opening as normal on Monday 30th October.

The team are having a well deserved break by having a long weekend.

There have been some changes to the Saturday's in which we are going to be open for October and November.

Trading Saturdays for October are;

Saturday 14th - Open as normal
Saturday 21st - Open as normal
Saturday 28th - Closed.

Saturday trading days for November will be posted when the roster has been finalised.

Good Morning

I want to advise that once again we are having issues with our phone lines and have had for last day or so. As you are aware this is extremely frustrating for clients and the clinic. We have techs coming today to hopefully try and rectify the problems.
I apologise for any inconvenience that this is causing to our clients but please be assured we are working on it.
Hopefully by this afternoon we will be back to normal.
We do have one line that is redirected to our mobile so please leave a message if you need to and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
