My name is Oreo, I have recently been Rescued, I am now seeking someone special to help me rewrite my story and fill it with love and warmth.
✨Personality:
My heart remains open and full of love. I adore people, I’m still a little unsure on men, but I know with time and patience, I can learn to embrace the kindness they offer and let go of my fears. With slow introduction and patience, I have warmed up to a few kind gentlemen.
✨Socialization:
The world outside is a vast and scary place for me, with so much left unexplored. However, recently I have been living with another dog, and I find myself getting along with him. With gentle guidance, I believe I can learn to navigate this new world and forge friendships along the way.
✨Training Needs:
I'm still learning the basics, like potty training, but with someone patient by my side, I crave structure and routine, something to ground me and help me feel secure in my surroundings.
✨Ideal Home:
My ideal home is one filled with peace and tranquility, where I can feel safe to be myself. I long for a quiet household, where someone home often and there to offer a comforting hand and a gentle word. A place where my past is understood and my future is filled with hope. A home without children would be best for me, as I need a calm environment to thrive.

Just bunking the myth that only big dogs are up for adoption. Little Benji below is Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise cross, friendly to people and other pets.
Benji isn’t a pup so he’ll be at the stage where he’s less jumpy and more lovey. Also these breeds live to about 16 so he has many many more fun years left in him.

Though I haven't had the pleasure of spending much time with kids, I'm open to the idea and would love the chance to make new friends. Plus, I'm as tidy as can be—I'm fully toilet trained and perfectly content to chill at home while you're out and about. Just make sure you've got a sturdy 6ft fence to keep me safe—I've got a curious nature and a knack for sniffing out new adventures!

We are no-where near our target and she so urgently needs this surgery. We have to raise the money so we can book her in.
We can’t let her down. She has been through so so much. She deserves a pain free life.
Our organisation rescued her from a rural and remote pound at a time where she was so close to euthanasia, then finding out that she has ruptured cruciate ligaments in both legs. What a horrible run of luck for this lovely girl. Jess urgently needs to undergo bilateral cruciate surgery to have her quality of life as it should be.

You don't want a dog to be rescued or adopted from an organisation only to be dumped again months later because they couldn't manage the commitment. The truth is 'saving' a dog drives such a strong emotional response that they dont really think about the day-in day-out reality.

This kind old soul is a 7 year old Staffy Mix whom was recently saved from a rural pound kill list. Sadly we have been told that his previous owner was placed into an aged care facility leaving Zee with no where to go but a cold scary pound. Thankfully we were able to save this beautiful boy just in time however we rely on fosters to keep these babies safe, currently Zee has no where to go, we must find him a foster or adoptive home! Zee has a sweet nature and loves everyone he meets, he does however prefer all the attention to himself so ideally needs a house without other furbabies at this stage.

Zena’s tennis ball skills may be more about enthusiasm than precision but she’s so sweet, so willing and such good company. it’s unbelievable that Zena’s still in care after 103 days. She spent a month in Bundaberg, two months at Wacol and now two weeks at Dakabin with almost no expressions of interest. We think it’s because she’s statistically close to average in everything: size, age, breeding and interests. Statistics don’t measure hearts of gold.
Dakabin is Zena’s third shelter. Let’s band together and make sure it’s her last. Zena’s best hope for a loving home lies with all of us sharing. If enough of us do, the algorithm with kick in and Zena will have a good chance.
Zena is an AmStaff mix, 5yrs 3 mths old. She feels safe with people and gets worried if she’s left alone for too long. Zena loves toys, fun and her family and needs a calm, respectful home – both people and dogs.
