In my happy place.
I've finally found the time to post.
I got my mini goat fix at the 2023 Esk Show in May, to see the Judging of the AABMGS Mini Goats 🎊🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
😍WOW it was just awesome, lots of lovely people and their gorgeous goats.
📱🐐Here is a few random photos I had taken on the day. A few I would have missed.

It was so lovely to meet Lyndell Bentley and her gorgeous Goats, thanks for the cuddles and making me feel so welcome darlin.
Love taking one of your babies in the ring too, so exciting.

Lovely to meet Therese Jeffries-Purton and so many other's, too many to name but so nice to meet you all.

His Name Is James.

This week (22/04) will be the 3rd anniversary of my son James’ death by su***de.

James was 14 and should be celebrating his 18th birthday on August 30th.

James had pressures in his life surrounding online and school bullying which he never let on the extent of.

Born in 2005, James was an only child for 11 beautiful years before his little sister came along in 2016.

He was the love and light of my life and grew in to a selfless, kind, outgoing, tenacious, and funny young man with many good friends.

James loved Horses, dogs, motor bikes, adventures, music, his family and friends.

Dolly’s Dream was known to me, and to James, before his death.

I changed my Facebook profile picture, I bought the boots, I was aware of Dolly’s tragedy and wanted to help any way I could to spread awareness.

I never once thought to start the su***de or bullying conversation with my Son. It wasn’t needed?

There were no signs? This was something that was not close to home….Until it was.

This photo was a normal day, a selfie while hugging after a good laugh.

This photo was the last time I seen James alive. He took his own life on the front veranda after a day of riding his motorbike, his phone in hand.

Through my work platform at Hartley Valley Holiday Farm in NSW we will be hosting a Do It For Dolly Day and fundraiser in May, with a gymkhana and lunch.

The message and work Dolly’s Dream do is Incredibly important, and I hope this story can help a parent or friend to reach out and talk about this to anyone you think may be struggling, or even those you would never think are.

On the 1st April 2023, Alan and I drove to Toowoomba for our first visit to The Toowoomba Royal Show. We had a fantastic day.

We got to see our gorgeous friend Rosemary Green at The Toowoomba Royal Dog Show too, she had her stunning girl she bred, to win "Best Of Show", it was so exciting 🐕
(Rosemary also bred our little purebred Nigerain Dwarf Goats - Ivydale Fender and Mason) which we love so much. Make sure you check out website and page.

Also not to forget our Ivydale boys Mason and Fender here at our Amarillo Lodge Farm at H***y Tonk Goats. They make us smile so much and are so loved lots. I opened our Bus Motor Home door a week ago and they loved playing on the stairs, don't tell Alan LOL
🐐🐐🐐I love walking with our sheep too and four legged kids, so peaceful, I learn so much from watching them eat, play and the beautiful nature's music around me, so blessed 🐑🐑🐑

The Qld Central Goat Group and their wonderful workshop at Comet in Central Queensland this week end, which I was fortunate, to be able to attend while visting my family, you all know who you are, wonderful people working hard together for the GOAT.🐐
Big speical thanks Glenda Henry Bellarine Boer Goats, Kylie Leahy - Mount Roy Stud and Bert Cairns from Kingaroy, who use to own the incredible Armadown Goats. ###
I was listening to every word, so much new information on Goats for our Queensland Goat future of every GOAT BREED in Australia, the networking was exciting, (to many names to write here, but all, only to happy to support now and on going after the workshop too, for the beginners to experienced goat owners)
There was wonderful speaker's on most farm info, very experienced breeders also sharing their experiences which was so good, to name one, the Percy Island goat ladies doing incredible hard work and also the awesome "Dr Joan Lloyd" from Sydney, wow, thank you for speaking to us on Mycoplasma in Goats, Farm Biosecurity in Australia, herd health plans, Management etc. Make sure everyone jumps on board, this group are wonderful, no ego's, it's all about our Goats for Future, from pets, studs, to thousands of goats, all coming to one place for information and GOATS RULE !!🐐

The MGBA National Show Coordinating Team has been working non-stop to make the 2023 National Show a reality!!! The team have secured a venue an hour away from the prestigious Sydney Royal Show. The National Show has been booked for the Saturday April 15 (the day after Sydney Royal), leaving Sunday open for the trip home for our Northerners and Southerners!!!!

Our team are working on some very impressive sponsorship and fundraising ideas and the plan to bring in overseas Pygmy and Nigerian Dwarf breeds Judges (now being booked)!!!! We have our very own highly respected MGBA Aussie/Nuwby Judge coming for this highly prestigious event!!

We are working on our largest group of fund raising campaigns ever and with all plans being successful, we will be boasting a HUGE Prize Pool of over $25,700 in CASH prizes!!!

Lived it and still do.
King Roadie munching away as I watch the Sunset last night at H***yTonk Miniature Goats Amarillo Lodge Farm. Roadie is 13 years old in a couple of weeks. I love him so much, fed him on the bottle as a kid. Of course he gets spoilt and can do what ever he likes he's KR that just what you do.🐐🤩😍🙏🤠

“Farm work doesn’t make you stronger.”
It doesn’t make you anything.
It reveals you.
There’s gym strong and then there’s farm strong.
They are not mutually exclusive.

The toughest women you’ll ever meet spend their days on a farm.

There are more uses for twine than you can possibly imagine.

“Well that certainly didn’t go as planned,” is one thing you’ll say quite a bit.

Control is a mere illusion... The thought that you have any, at any given time, is utterly false.

Sometimes sleep is a luxury...So are lunch and dinner. And brushing your hair.
Trust me, you’ll find muscles that you never knew existed on the human skeleton to prevent this from happening.

When one of the animals is ill, you’ll go to heroic lengths to minimize their discomfort.

Their needs come first.

In summer heat and coldest winter days. Clean water, clean bed, and plenty of feed. Before you have your first meal, they all eat.

When you lose one of them, even though you know that day is inevitable, you still feel sadness, angst and emotional pain from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. And it’s a heaviness that lingers even though you must regroup and press on.

You can wash your coveralls. They won’t look any cleaner, but they will smell much nicer.

Farm work is difficult in its simplicity.

You’ll always notice just how beautiful sunrises and sunsets really are.

I've always said "There should a museum for goats".
My Dad spoke often over the years how important goats where back in time, in his childhood in growing up, in and around Longreach in central Queensland, back in the day where he, my mumma and I was born.
Even my own story with family back then, droving three thousand goats or more on the road, people don't know about it, it's history.
They don't know how important they where and are and still around the world. They are magnificent animals. They don't eat tin cans, if you know what I mean!!!

Can't wait for this show for Dairy Bucks and Does. It's our first date on our Calendar for 2023.
H***yTonk Miniature Goats only have wether goats at the moment but this show is not to be missed. We went along this year and it was fantastic, we were made feel so welcome, gorgeous people, we learned so much and were surrounded by stunning goats, can't get any better then that!!🐐🤩
