Roy is a high quality all round male kelpie; he’s free backing and barking in the yards but works the paddock with good natural
Distance and good eye. To go with this he’s got a cracking temperament and gets along with all dogs and people.

Fully tested for CA and clear for all variants

Torbay Tom x Ryan’s Gemma

Cooch is my go to yard dog. Hard backing dog and some bark, goes all day and goes hard. Doesn’t suit the paddock on sheep however he’s my main dog for mustering cattle with a hard hitting nose bite and zero heel bite.

Avenpart Telstroy (Roy) x Island Faith

G’day everyone the one and only Kelpie in my crew has become a dad for the first time to 13, yes that’s right… 13 !!!! Healthy black and tan little legends.

Roy has been a staple part of my work crew for the last 12-18 months and is fast becoming my main hound. He’s a genuine A grade all rounder who works paddock as well as he works the yards. Medium eye and free moving with natural distance outside but with strong back and bark and good cover and hold inside.

Roy was joined to Island Faith who is owned by Tash Hull. Faith is real natural paddock dog, medium eye and free moving and great mob sense. She also works the yards with a good bark and doesn’t mind being in tight. A highly experienced hound on composite breed sheep meaning she is very strong and unafraid of confrontation.

This here is what I consider to be an invaluable skill set. Here I’m wirking on teaching Moss to take control of a mob and take them away from me across a section of paddock I can’t access atm due to it being too wet, and taking the mob up into higher ground where I can get across to help out. I love this style of work, to me it really shows what a good dog can achieve. Moss isn’t quite 100% on it as you’ll see here but she’s pretty damn close!

GOOD DAAAAWWGGS! This mob went straight past the gate and round the bend so sent the dogs (Moss and Bridie) after em to bring em back. The two girls did a cracking good job. It’s situations like these where having two different sets of whistles for me is handy. Moss is on one set and Bridie a slightly different set. This enables me to hold Moss on the point to turn them towards the gate whilst sending Bridie back down the wing to ensure they don’t go back round the corner.
