Hi humans, you may have seen me on this page before. I came into care after some traumatic experiences but now I have been with my foster carers, I am blossoming.
Notes from my foster carers:
Blonde, snuggle buddy (thinks he is a lap dog), baby giraffe (can be clumsy with those long legs), toddler (can throw a tantrum like a toddler), people freindly, happy to be an only dog. Happy to be home alone, loves food, loves a soft toy and couches!!!

Fun fact: When we first got Louie, he was very weak and sick, and the stress of being alone made him even sicker. So, Louie receives VIP treatment and sleeps in our director Kate's bed, snuggled into her armpit (wearing a nappy, of course, to avoid any accidents 🙈).
He's truly the baby of DRU right now. You can meet Louie on our weekend tours on Sundays!

“Meet Murphy, the pup who went from ruff to roughin’ it in style!
Once abandoned and broken, this handsome young man spent some serious TLC time at DRU learning what love and trust are all about.
After a few meet and greets that didnt want Murphy, Murphy was losing hope…
One special day … ust like a fairytale he finally found his furever fam - two amazing humans who showered him with love and patience (and even gave him his own Insta account @murphy_theirishwolf , because, priorities!).
It wasn’t all smooth sailing, but with time, trust, and plenty of snoozles, Murphy finally found his paw-fect match!

The hardest part in rescue is forever struggling to find funds to save the animals we have known, loved and fought for. These surgeries come at such a high cost, and we hate having to ask for help all the time, but we simply can’t stop fighting for them, and the reality is we just can’t do it without our supporters help.
We know it’s such a hard time for so many people, if you’re not in a position to help financially, please share Finn’s story, it goes a long way and a simple share can save our boy!
If you are in a position to even help a little, with so many followers even a couple of dollars can cover his life saving surgery.
He needs a very complicated and expensive surgery called a PU Surgery. This surgery creates a new passage for urine to pass through, releasing any blockages and creating a new release hole. The surgery costs anywhere from $7000-$9000 depending on recovery and what Finn’s condition requires, we have only raised half of what we need

It was sweet little Ruby's gotcha day on the 31st. This video shows her story with us so far. She was running around wild in a neighbourhood for a few years before she was captured. She was going to be euthanised, so we had to save her. She is still quite timid, but is slowly letting her guard down and trusting us more and more each day. She is just the sweetest little soul. We love you Ruby girl ❤️
