The founders of Earthkeepers, Paul and Judith Collins began Earthkeepers, initially as a teaching and education facility for organic gardening. Judith wrote 'Companion Gardening in Australia' after conducting her 'Organic Growing Course' for many years. Why the name Earthkeepers - During the late 1980's Judith and Paul Collins developed a display area to show how anyone no matter where they live t

hat little space is needed to grow their own food organically. They believe everyone who attempts to garden is a keeper of their patch of Earth. So at Earthkeepers have a goal to assist everyone to become their own Earthkeeper in their own way. If you can't grow your own organic produce then at least purchase your food from organic sources. You will begin to rediscover the taste sensations of good, healthy organic produce. Earthkeepers was originally located in Thirlmere NSW and relocated three years ago to a 14 acre bush block with a mud brick weekender where their 30 yrs of experience in organics and combined knowledge with permaculture principals have developed the culinary leaf garden, the vegie patch, the food forest, the heritage apple grove, nut grove and a native habitat.

The Passing of Paul Collins
A TRADITIONAL Funeral Plan - An Intimate Farewell. When Paul dies and leaves the Campbelltown Hospital system, "Tender Funerals" will bring Paul home and place him on a cooling mat, in his favourite room in our house. A washing and dressing ceremony will follow - anyone who thinks they would like to take part in this, please let me know. The "recycled cardboard casket will also be delivered and placed in our recording room. On a day , as yet to be determined, Family and friends will gather and be invited to make a mark of respect on the casket- write a message, sign their name, stick on a photo, draw or make their mark etc. Afternoon tea will be available. The following morning, Paul will be collected by "Tender Funerals" for cremation. When his Ashes are returned, they will be kept by me. So that one day his ashes will be combined with my ashes and processed according to our wishes. We wait with heavy-heart, for Paul's departure time to come.

Hello - I just visited the hospital and spoke with the doctors.

Cancer - in liver, spleen, spine, a huge mass in the left side of his face, and his ribs., Due to the aggression of the cancer, they said that any treatment they do, will not prove to be curative. But will make him as comfortable as possible. They have booked to transfer him from hospital to palliative care. The prognosis is grim.

Hello every one on Thursday 19 Dec 2019 the home of Earthkeepers was destroyed by the Green Wattle Creek bush fire.
All was lost including animals.
We escaped just in time 50m from the fire front.

In addition to our loss was a tiny house being constructed on the property by a young couple who were trying to get a better more sustainable life😢
