Meet the Team! CRVC Staff 🌟
Tobey (Practice Manager/Customer Care)
Hey there, I'm Tobey! Although you might not see me often, I'm always behind the scenes, working with the amazing team at CRVC to ensure a great experience for everyone. I'm responsible for making sure the wheels keep turning and everyone's needs are met. When I'm not in the office, you can find me wakeboarding at the dam (when the boat's not broken), on the soccer pitch or playing my guitars.

CRVC Star Patient 🌟
Meet Sadie, the gorgeous old girl who had a very large lump on her chest. 😳
Due to her age surgery was avoided but it got to the point it was causing her pain. Her mum entrusted our team with the important job of surgically removing the mass. Due to its size we needed to harvest/transfer skin from her side to under her arm and chest.

Sadie did amazing! She healed so well with the support and care from her family and friends. 🥰

DENTAL MONTH - Horses 🐴
Did you know that horses are recommended to have their teeth done every 12 months, just like us?

Signs your horse may need a dental check-up include dropping feed, slow to eat, weight loss, resistance when being ridden or sudden changes in behaviour as well as facial swelling. It is also recommended that your horse has a dental if it has been more than 12 months since their last dental or have not had one prior to being broken in for young horses.

Our veterinarians are experienced with the knowledge and extended qualifications to legally sedate and perform routine dental floating on your horses.

For more information regarding our equine dental services, contact our clinic! ☎️

🦷Providing your pet with good dental hygiene can add 2-4 years to their life.

MEET THE TEAM!!
We will go back to the beginning….

Hi, I'm Dr Yasmin. With a vision of creating a thriving mixed practice myself and my Husband Craig started Chamberlain Road Veterinary Clinic in 2016. Since then we have not stopped working round the clock with immense pride in growing our team and facilities to ensure the best for our clients, patients and staff.

I grew up on a 35,000 acre beef cattle property near Clermont QLD. I enjoy all aspects of this amazing job as a Veterinarian and business owner. My upbringing was where my love for animals began and I can only credit my values and inspiration to create this life to my parents and family.

Spud the sausage dog is always by my side and I love being outdoors enjoying our cattle and horses.

Dr Yasmin and Craig helped this little one into the world after-hours recently.

Unfortunately the farmer noticed things weren’t progressing and only the feet could be seen. Turns out this one’s head was facing in the wrong direction! A bit of careful manipulation and the use of some calving tools allowed for a successful delivery. ☺️

Marley and Ollie came in for their last kitten vaccinations and were just too cute!! They hoovered down some dine treats and explored.

We think they give our cat only consult room the tick of approval ✅🐈‍⬛🐈. If you are worried about bringing your cat to the vet, give us a call. We are here to make it less stressful 🤗

Yep, the way we diagnose pregnancy in cows is per re**al palpation. Not always puppies and kittens 🤣

CRVC Petcare Reminder 🥶🐾
This cold weather is a good time to talk about Arthritis with our Veterinary team. It is a time when pets with arthritis will become uncomfortable.

Osteoarthritis pain specifically refers to the pain caused by degeneration of cartilage in your pets joints and surprisingly can affect dogs and cats of all ages.

Mature or older pets are over represented of course.
Subtle signs of pain:
🐾 Slower to get up and down
🐾 Lag behind or tire more quickly on walks
🐾 Prefer to lie down rather than sit or stand
🐾 Hesitate to jump up or down
🐾 Whimper, growl or snap when touched
🐾 Difficulty getting in and out of the car

Talk to the team today about booking your fur baby in for a check where we will examine and develop an arthritis plan to suit their needs.

When blood collection is made easy with a peanut butter cup!!

Managing your pets fear, anxiety and stress (FAS) is very important in our veterinary clinic. We will use different techniques depending on the situation.

This girl loves coming to the vets, however we still ensure she gets a reward and distraction from needles. ❤️

CRVC Cases- Caesarian sections 😳
We have had 2 beautiful mummas need some help delivering their babies. From teeny tiny sausage dogs to 9 big bubbas!
The Vets and Nurses work together to get them out safely, resuscitate them, keep them warm, provide oxygen and feed them. All the while focusing on keeping mum stable during anaesthesia and surgery.
All in a days work 🥰

CRVC PETCARE REMINDER!! ❤️🪱

THE HEARTWORM PARASITE
Heartworm is just as serious as it sounds - worms that live in your dog’s heart and lungs. Heartworm disease is caused by a parasite called Dirofilaria immitis and is spread from dog to dog by mosquitoes. Heartworm infection is a serious disease that can cause heart failure, lung disease, organ damage and death. They are large worms that can grow up to 30cm long within the heart and arteries in the lungs. They also produce microscopic baby heartworms called microfilariae, which are ingested and then transferred to other dogs via mosquitoes.

🪱Symptoms of heartworm in dogs may include:

Coughing
Lethargy or 'exercise intolerance'
Loss of appetite
Weight loss.
Pale gums
Shortness of breath
Enlarged abdomen due to fluid build up

Fortunately, most cases can be detected before symptoms develop, which means treatment can be instigated early if detected early.

☎️ CALL TODAY! We have a LIMITED number of FREE HEARTWORM TESTS AVAILABLE. Let’s make sure your pet is HEARTWORM FREE! *Conditions do apply

CRVC Case 🐴
***SWAMP CANCER HORSE***

Pythiosis, more commonly referred to as ‘swamp cancer’ is not a cancer but a type of fungal infection. The disease occurs more commonly in horses that live in swampy, muddy or flooded regions and we see them more commonly in late summer during warm humid wet weather. The type of fungus is a normal soil organism that gains access through an injury or insect bites. It causes a firm swelling that grows quickly, ulcerates and oozes a blood tinged fluid. Characteristic granular yellow bodies called ‘kunkers’ harbouring fungi inside the lesion. Lesions are found more commonly on the legs, lower abdomen and chest.

Treatment– Early diagnosis and combination treatment provides the best results.
Surgical excision of the lesion with a wide margin plus aggressive systemic and topical anti-fungals often favour a good outcome.

As shown in these photos, Dr Brittany and Nurse Heidi surgically removed the lesion with a large margin and treated it as an open wound. This beautiful girl is still healing but how great is the wound looking! Well done to her dedicated owner and Veterinary surgical team!.

CRVC CELEBRATIONS!! WORLD VET DAY!!✨⭐️

World Vet Day; a day to celebrate the dedicated professionals who provide life-saving care to your beloved pets.

Most of you have experienced the genuine love our CRVC vet team have for your pets, but what you don’t see is the tireless and often gruelling efforts they endure behind the scenes, around the clock.

It is a profession that experiences the extremes of emotional highs and lows on a daily basis; from the elation of curing a wounded animal to the heartbreaking conversations with devoted owners when, despite all efforts, their pet’s life cannot be saved.

And every day they continue to put on a brave face and a happy smile to provide exceptional care to your pets and loved ones.

The importance of remaining patient and respectful to all individuals at a vet clinic cannot be underestimated and we are so grateful for the kindness of our amazing clients.

As a Veterinary business owner, I’m so proud of our team past and present, and all the vets and veterinary professionals in our community, we thank you from the depths of our hearts for all that you do every day to keep our pets healthy.

Dr Yasmin ❤️🥰
