Thanks to everyone who came to our Christmas Party and Triallers Presentation last Tuesday! We had a great time giving out prizes for best costume, fastest eater, best trick and more.

Reminder tonight is our 2024 Christmas Party & Triallers Presentation. We welcome all current members and their dogs to attend at Freds Pass Reserve from 7pm.

There will be lots of other dogs, people and music, so make sure your dog is comfortable in a busy and loud environment.

We will be playing some games and offering some prizes, including a best dressed dog costume competition, so please bring a costume for your dog to wear if you'd like to enter.

Our trialling season has now ended for 2024. This year we hosted six trial weekends in Jumping, Agility and Games.

Our heartfelt thanks to our judges for this year, Annette Gniel, Daphne Sellwood, Karen Winzar, Cheryl Bedggood and Sarah Baker.

Special thanks to previous club secretary Tanya Reichstein and our new secretary Sarah Lockhart who took over seamlessly after our AGM earlier this year. Their hard work and dedication is much appreciated.

Congratulations to all competitors, qualifiers or not. You and your dogs all make fantastic teams and we are so proud of you all!

We look forward to seeing returning and new triallers for our 2025 season. 🐾

Congratulations to the winners of our special awards this weekend, as sponsored by Tanya Reichstein of EchoMidi Kennels.

Winner of the Yardie Award, Top Novice Dog in Trial was Razzle and her handler Kathy.

Winner of the Schooner Award, Top Dog in Trial was Harlow and her handler Kristy.

Thanks to all who entered our second trial of the year, we love to see the handler and dog teams out there giving it a go. Thanks also to judge Daphne Sellwood (Qld) and to Tanya for sponsoring the awards.

Our next trial is May 17-18 for Games, Agility and Jumping with judge Daphne Sellwood (Qld).

Two special awards will be sponsored and presented by our former Secretary Tanya Reichstein at this trial. The first is for Top Dog in Trial, in honour of Schooner, and the second is for Top Novice Dog in Trial, in honour of Yardie.

Entries close this Friday. You can enter via K9 Entries.

We look forward to seeing our new Manners Training participants tonight for our April intake.

A few things to remember before you arrive:

🐾 The first night is NO DOGS so that we can talk to you about the class and answer your questions without you being distracted by your canine pal

🐾 FPPDTC is accessible from the south entrance of Freds Pass Reserve on Bees Creek Road

🐾 All roads inside the Reserve are gazetted which means you must obey the Reserve speed limit of 10 and wear your seatbelt

🐾 Bring proof of your dog's vaccination status – dogs must be vaccinated to attend our classes

🐾 We only accept cash or direct debit payments – if you have paid online please bring your proof of payment

Unfortunately we've made the decision to cancel all classes tonight as the Reserve is very waterlogged and it looks like more rain is on the way. We will see everyone for Agility Foundations, Manners Training and Intermediate Agility next week. 🤞

Our 2024 classes are now open for enrolment! 🎉

🐾 Manners Training has five intakes throughout the year, the first being March 5!

🐾 Agility Foundations has five intake nights as well, the first being March 12! This class time has shifted to start at 6:30pm.

🐾 We have a new class called Intermediate Agility which will be 7:30pm every Tuesday, starting March 12. This is for folks who have been through our Foundations already and want to move up to new challenges! If you've already been training with us you would have received an email invitation to this class, but if you are new to our club and already have some agility experience this may be the class for you! Get in touch.

🐾 Our Triallers/Pre-triallers class is also ready for registration, this is our only Thursday class, beginning on March 7. If you are new to our club and feel you are advanced enough to join this class, please get in touch and we can ensure it's the right one for you.

We look forward to a training filled year with you and your dogs.

Thanks to everyone who attended our Christmas Party and Triallers Presentation last night. We hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed their prizes.

Our Top Trialling Dog for 2023 was Mediaevalage Pearl Necklace CD RAE ADM2 JDM2 SD SPD GD aka Pearl, pictured here with her handler Marina. In second place was Neut Ch Aust Ch Ag Ch 400 Cooroorah Cozican RA ADM6 JDM4 GDX SPDX SDX ADO4 JDO5 CCD aka Tulip and in third place was Senulc Scout's Promise CDX TK.S RM JDX aka Scout. Congratulations to you all!
