A shout out to one of my most Sassy clients! This cheeky miss usually decides on the day if we're going to trim all her nails or if she's going to complain about the last one enough for me to leave it alone 😂

On her last visit Ripley aced her way through the whole groom without hesitation (she did sass me for her treats though 😂)

Noodles ✨️

This guy is the most handsome goofball - and such the snuggler🫶

Noodles came to visit for a full groom, he's a bit sensitive about his legs and feet being worked on, but that's okay! To help Noodles gain confidence on the grooming table we broke his groom into 2 visits and he aced it 🙌

WANTED! Do you have a floofy dog?

I'm shooting for the next couple of weeks for my next challenge, which is called 'Glow Up'. The idea is that we need to use backlight to enhance our canine subject.

I love the effect of this with fluffy, fuzzy or floofy dogs, as the light shines through their fur and looks just fabulous!

If you have a fluffy dog (large or small) who has a solid sit/stay and you are available over the next couple of weeks for an evening photo session in Sunbury, please contact me via message and send me a photo of your pooch too!

Compliant throughout until we got to her nails - she's never had her nails trimmed but obliged to having just the dew claws cut before politely telling me - no thanks.

Luna ✨️

This floofball came for a visit to be de-shedded, and de-shedded she was!
Almost a week later and I am still finding Luna reminders around the salon 😂

Luna has some reservations about her legs or feet being worked on, but we took it at her pace and this girl smashed it!

It was a pleasure grooming Luna, cannot wait for her next visit 😊

Jessie ✨️

What a sweet lady Jessie is 🩷

This beautiful girl, after a rough start to life, is living her BEST life 😍

Jessie is 12 with chronic arthritis and grooming can be very uncomfortable for her, this is why her mum has made the choice for her to be shaved. It stops Jessie's coat from matting, her rear end getting dirty and removes the need for Jessie to deal with being brushed daily.

Jessie was very compliant for her groom, but we split it into 2 visits to keep her comfortable.

You may remember Loki had his first puppy groom a few weeks ago, well this brave boy made it through his first full groom!

This beautiful boy was super brave and was compliant through the full groom - a testament to the amazing work his mum has been putting in with him at home!

This brave wee boy had his first ever puppy groom 💙

This girl was a lot more comfort being groomed with me second time around, she rolled around while I brushed her and even laid down while I cut her nails!

Biggie ✨️

Nothing was safe to be left on the ground with Biggie around 😂 whether it a brush or a lick mat Biggie politely picked it up and attempted to hide it in the salon 😂

My favorite part of the grooming process 🩷
I have mentioned in previous posts about the breaks we take whilst grooming, it makes my heart feel full when we take a break and a pupper has gone from worried about where their parents have gone and singing me the song of their people to genuinely enjoying our time together 🩷

This wild child came for a groom om Saturday, let me tell you - she is such a vibe 😍

Rhea had a bath, blowdry, deshed and nail trim and while she didn't love the dryer she let me do what needed to be done (we compromised and used A LOT of towels first)

So much love and so much floof, cannot wait to hang out with Rhea again 🩷

Zeus ✨️

An absolute gentleman complete with a big meat head 💙

Zeus had a bath, blow dry, deshed and nail trim.

He was a star for the whole process but isn't a huge fan of having his nails trimmed, he allowed me to do almost all of them before letting me know he was finished - so we have booked a follow up to get his nails completed (and steal some more cuddles)

Loki ✨️

I had the honor of guiding Loki through his first ever groom on Saturday!

This cheeky guy has a bit of desensitizing to do before we can do a full groom, but all in all he did super well and was very well behaved!

Lokis mum has done an amazing job maintaining his coat which means he can stay as floofy as she likes and we can hold off on a full groom until he is comfortable with all the new scary things.

Well done Loki!

This sweet boy just needed to be reassured know we were best friends, constantly 💙

Nacho had some heavy matting on his ears but at his mother's request we only took the ears down and did some light blending so they can be maintained as his floof grows back.

Nacho came in for a bath, blow dry and tidy up, he powered through!

Sometimes, your dog needs a break. The heart-meltingly sweet Ralph is demonstrating how he chose to spend his breaks during the grooming process 🩷 When I'm grooming dogs I use a number of techniques to try and keep it as low stress as possible, including giving them breaks in which they're allowed to do as they please for a few minutes, whether that be having a sniff around and some space, playing or getting some cuddles and reassurance. I will not overstep their boundaries, if the breaks etc aren't working, and they're too scared or stressed then we stop the groom and they come home - I will however offer a free follow up and some advice to try and complete the steps that couldn't done first time around.
