Thinking of getting a pet budgie for Xmas. Just remember these guys may be small but they do have a decent life span to around 20 yrs old if your lucky and there well looked after. Feed your budgie every day, with a mixture of seeds and fresh food. Go easy on the treats, including millet sprays. Accept that there will be a certain amount of mess from scattered seed husks and moulted feathers. Expect a good deal of noise. And most importantly they need attention and affection.

Been a while since last post. Lucky has grown up now and in a big boy cage. Still thinks his human and prefers then to birds. His got 2 cats as best friends and humps his plastic toys til there destroyed. His vocabulary is getting good, says lucky boy, good boy,and kisses, even makes a kissing sound. His one very different, funny adorable bird. I love my special lucky boy so Much .
