DOG LOVERS, THIS IS FOR YOU!
Brush your dogs coat until it's shiny, put on a fresh collar and propel your pooch towards the showgrounds this Saturday for the Elanco Dog Show at the Kununurra Home Hardware 52nd Kununurra Ag Show.

DOG SHOW ON SAT 13 JULY
Dogs must be at the showground by 9.30am.
The Dog Show will start at 10am sharp.
Please take your dogs home as soon as is practical after the dog show.

PRIZES: Champion Dog, Champion Puppy, and Veteran dog are awarded a cash prize for first ($100) and second ($50) position.

Classes you can enter include:
*Best kept puppy (under 9 months old) All breeds and sizes
*Best kept small adult dog (9 months- 7yrs) Purebred and mixed breed
*Best kept medium adult dog (9 months-7yrs) Purebred and mixed breed

What is a Bath & Towel Dry?
A Bath & Towel Dry is exactly what it sounds like the only difference between you doing it and getting me to do it is, I also place hydrating oil through the coat, spray cologne & clip nails as well.

�Tell us a little about yourself where are you located and what kind of salon do you have or work for (mobile, home or commercial)?
My name is Emily & my commercial salon called Lady & Her Hounds is based in the East Kimberley in a town called Kununurra.
�How many pets do you have?
I have 2 dogs & 2 cats
�And how does your work environment work for you?
I’m an appointment based salon and I am usually 1 on 1 but the only time I ever have more dogs in the salon if it’s family dogs or there is a cross over in clients
�How long have you been grooming and how did you start out? I have been grooming for 3 years. I started grooming when I started the pet grooming course at TAFE.
�What is your preferred grooming style and why (Asian fusion, Hand Stripping, De-Sheds etc.)?
I prefer De-sheds because I love the difference a blow dryer and a brush can do a blown out coat. I do love cute face but nothing bets going from grinch feet to tight and tidy feet!
�What are your interests outside of the grooming world, you’re destress wind down? I love to go on adventures with my family around the east Kimberly. If I’m not out and about I’m at home winding down with a book in hand to relax after a day in the salon or chasing my toddler son around.

Mr Smudge throughout his De-shed today 🐾🐶. We do a 6-8 week schedule to keep his undercoat from shedding & getting over his owners house! The reason we do this is to not only be on top of his coat shedding but we do it for the coat to be lighter and not matting easier as his under coat drops & tangles with his top coat. We recommend regular brushing between visits to take the under coat out that could course matting before his next groom. Want to know more about your dogs grooming needs?
