It has come as a surprise and a shock to many that we have decided to call it a day. While trading was slowing for us it was just time. We own everything so rent wasn't an issue. Just time to retire.
For all you hobbyists out there this is what can happen if you stop supporting bricks and mortar stores .
Give them all your support .Continue to buy on line and not physically enter there stores will be to your detriment. SEQ has many fantastic stores who have qualified staff including Marine Biologists. Family people who have your best interests at heart. Please!Please!! support them.

Hi Everyone,

As you are all aware we close our doors today 4.30pm so we are in the final hours.

Dennis will be available through the nursery for those of you who are taking items already paid for.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all our customers who have supported us over the years, our staff members and of course Dennis, Christine and Brad.

Through this sad time we need to remember that without everyone involved this store would of never existed and i'm sure we can all admit it's been one of the best aquariums around.

Despite going through the ups and downs it's been a pleasure working with our team and sharing knowledge to help us all improve in what we do.

I never thought that i would personally be involved in importing and quarantining fish, so i sincerely thank Dennis for training and guiding me through it.

The good news is that our staff members have found other positions within the aquarium hobby with myself (Aaron) and Dave moving over to Shrimp lovers with full control as Amanda steps back to focus on another adventure at springfield lakes, John moving into The aquarium center at sunnybank and Jason taking a short break before stepping into something else.

With that all said if you still need anything now is your chance to get a bargain so come on in and see what we still have.

Well ,how long can a fish last once bagged. Let's say a small fish.
Well this week had a shipment in from Indonesia. I can confirm bagged at 10.00am Tuesday. Saturday while sorting old boxes out and putting waste in Quarantine bin yesterday found a 7m dia bag 1/2 cup of water with a clownfish in it and still alive. That's 120 hours after bagging.. Drip acclimatized it and it's fine eating and swimming around now. Resilient.
Bit embarrassing but think a few of us may have done something similar

We now have three Axolotls in stock ATM. 1 x albino white, 1 x Olive and 1 x Gold.

These are a fascinating animal that loves the cooler water.

No heater required through winter and you also don't need a huge tank to house one.
