No styling No Fusion these jobs can be difficult and overwhelming.

My main focus was to safely and effectively remove all the matting it took more than double the time the skin is very sensitive when the matting is so close to the skin.

Feeling happy and relieved this guy is free

Huge shout out to our Vets, Vet Nurses and all Animal carer's. Vets are very Highly skilled, perform emergency procedures, euthanise treat Injuries and illness for patients that don't communicate, and deal with the human. Imagine how difficult that would be.

I'm asking for some help. I'm helping to try and rehome 2 dogs. Female 9-year-old staffy, Male 9-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu. Their Dad is in Care. They have been amazing companions for him while he has been sick. We want to give him the comfort his dogs will be cared for until the end. It would be great if they are kept together although maybe difficult. I will do whatever I can to help. They just need a home as they are a bonded pair. All I'm asking is to ask around if you know anyone. Thankyou 🙏🐾

Meow Meow!
I Did my first cat visit today although I'm off the road atm not able to tow my trailer around. This was a claw trim for two cats. I'm surprised it was easier then some of the dogs I do. Maybe I got lucky. Cats can be extremely difficult to handle. But feeling proud.

Sad but true, I must admit I have not replied to some repeat offenders with the same excuses.

The people with the least amount of money don't let their dogs go.

Its pride and love for their dogs.
Its understanding your breed.
Sadly some people are ignorant and lazy thats a fact.

A top dog groomer has revealed which breed is the most challenging to groom thanks to its high-maintenance fur many owners a 'repeat offenders' for neglecting.

When I see things like this it really troubles me. It doesn’t motivate me to continue doing something I have invested so much time and love.

If you are looking to purchase a new puppy please please get in touch I will try and guide you in the right direction.

I groom dogs but animal welfare and education is what motivates me.

𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟...

We don’t know what to say… we don’t have the answers anymore… along with every other rescue in Australia, we are at a loss of what to do.

We have been inundated with dogs needing our help this year, for some reason there has been a real shift in society that pets are disposable, the pounds are overflowing, rescues are at capacity, and it is only getting worse; we have never seen anything like the number of requests for help we are currently getting, it is heart-breaking to know so many dogs are in need of rescue.

Healthy, friendly dogs are being euthanised across the country… we can’t blame the pounds and shelters for having no space, they are offering the dogs to rescue and up for adoption, begging people to take them, but with limited people willing to foster and adopt, they have no choice.

In the last 6 weeks, we have received over 80 private surrender requests – lets remember that this is just 1 breed… that is 80 German Shepherds owners within Victoria wanting to surrender their dog to our rescue in just 6 short weeks. This does not include requests for help from other rescues and pounds, we currently have 16 German Shepherds in pounds that we have been asked to help, some of them, are at high risk of being euthanised if we cannot help quickly.

With 16 dogs in pounds, and a backlog of over 100 private surrenders to work through, we have to say NO MORE. It breaks our hearts to let you all know that 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬. We simply cannot go on like this, we need some time to re-group, prioritise and put all our efforts into saving the dogs who need us most, and work through the backlog of people wanting our help.

We wish this wasn’t the case, we hate saying NO, but we have no other choice, our foster homes are full and there is no end in sight. GSRV will continue to work with pounds and rescues to help save the most vulnerable German Shepherds, we will also help with only the most urgent cases where a dog’s safety or life is at risk. All other requests will not be accepted until further notice.

How can you help?
Please spread the word, share every dog we place up for adoption or foster, the more people we reach, the more chance we have at successfully saving a dog.
If you have ever thought about fostering or adopting, now is the time to help, we desperately need somewhere for these dogs to go.

We are trying our best in this impossible situation, we are truly heartbroken and so sorry that it has come to this.

Happy Winter!
Now is the best time to have your dog groomed. Dont leave it until after winter, a well groomed dog is much healthier for your dog.

Some breeds like your oodles need regular grooming.

It doesn't snow like in the Nth Hemisphere they still work still groom.

I'm getting really bored with clipping matted dogs come spring.

Rip my sweet Rocco I watched him grow old he left a huge paw print on my heart. I received the sad news he passed away a few months ago. Rocco came from GS Rescue Victoria and wasn’t really socialised and couldn’t go near other dogs.

We had mutual respect and love. He will be sadly missed. This is the one thing I dislike about my job. 🐾💙🌈🙏

I was lucky to see Max yesterday afternoon. He was rushed to emergency last night and sadly passed away.

My condolences to Darren, Debra and Tilly we are very shocked and devastated by his passing.

He never showed any signs of discomfort or illness he was much loved and will be sadly missed.

I loved seeing you every single time and always looked forward to it.

Rest in peace beautiful boy we will miss you. 🌈🐾💙

Very sad to hear that Roman passed away suddenly yesterday.

I always looked forward to seeing you even when you weren't feeling well. You always enjoyed your bath and entertained me.
You will be sadly missed. Thanks for all the memories and your big personality. You always made me smile.

Kito the Spoodle full clip off he's found some chill, when I first started grooming him he was a little over excited to say the least, a little hard work pays off, maybe I was lucky today until the next one buddy.

My thoughts on his longevity?
I don't know I'm just a dog groomer. But maybe.

Well bred
Good genes
Not overweight
Not over exercised
Good diet
Well looked after.

But every time I see him I'm filled with joy.

Hi long time no post,
Labrador grooming yes grooming. Did you know they have a short double coat, they shed all year round but do a full coat drop before and after winter.

A groom consists of a dry brush out removing as much dead hair possible.

Followed by a wash, towel dry, blow dry, comb out to detangle the coat, conditioning spray and cologne. It's one of my favourite breeds.
