** Exciting announcement ** Hi all, we are so pleased to announce we will be opening this coming Tuesday!!! We are doing a soft launch with more limited numbers to make sure pups are able to settle in well. We will email out invitations to enrol to those that have joined the waitlist shortly before opening up to the wider community. It's taken over a year of hard work to get to this point and we are over the moon right now. We look forward to meeting you and your pups soon.

*** Input sought *** Hi Community, hope you're having a wonderful weekend. We're considering offering optional dog walkies - noting the beautiful Central Gardens is just a short 200 meters away. Dogs would be strictly on-lead at all times.

We would arrange for an experiencer dog walker to come and do the walkies, which would incur extra costs, which means this would not be a free service. Grateful if you please comment below:

**Opening Soon!!** We have the most exciting announcement, WE ARE OPENING SOON! By a twist of fate, our original site at 489 Burwood Road became available again. This means we do not have to go through the lengthy council process again as we already have a permit for the site.

We expect to be open in about 5 weeks, taking into account time to fit out the place into a doggy dreamland and importantly to conduct animal welfare checks to ensure pup safety.

You'll see lots more announcements from us in coming days, including some special, exclusive rewards for this group of loyal followers.

Hi Community, we've found yet another potential site and would really appreciate your feedback! It's around the corner of Burwood and Camberwell Roads (see diagram for approximation). It has lots of onsite parking, is fully climate controlled, is indoors and best of all has a LOT of space. There's so much room we would also be able to offer a separate Dog Hotel for overnight boarding.

Could you please comment with your views about the location/site and whether the additional Dog Hotel would be of interest?

Again we find your feedback really valuable and very much appreciated!

*** Feedback sought *** Hi all,
Hope you're well leading up to a well deserved break. Big apologies for not updating sooner - unfortunately the lease agreement recently fell through. We were really shattered by this as we'd put a lot of time, resources and emotion into it and it was so disheartening it fell apart when we were so close to opening.
However, we're not letting go of our dream of opening an amazing dog daycare in the area! We're considering a new location a bit further west, on Glenferrie Road (see shaded area in the diagram for an idea). Keen for your feedback on whether the location would be okay? Note, there would be convenient onsite customer parking. Thanks in advance, any feedback is appreciated.

*Update* Also as part of considering this new location, we were thinking about whether to offer a pick up/drop off service (either door to door or a central location e.g. near Auburn Station) if of interest

**Feedback sought** Hi all,
Hope you and your pups are faring well during lockdown. As we inch closer to opening back up, we’d like to get your feedback about when you’d ideally look to bring your pups to daycare. Could you reply in comments which number matches you or type in a response if none apply:

1. As soon as you open along with retail – I’d like to start settling my dogs socialising in a dog daycare routine immediately!

2. Once offices open– I’ll be going into the office straight away

3. A bit longer - I’d like to wait until things get more settled towards the end of this year or start of next year

4. Unsure – it’s hard to plan anything at the moment!

Hi all it's been a little while since we provided an update. We're working hard to get the daycare open as soon as possible and are in the latter stages of getting Council Approvals - there are a few more boxes needing to be ticked that are outside of our control but it's looking good. Many thank you to those who responded to our last post re Traffic as it seems to have worked and shortened the process somewhat!

We hope to be open by August, which is just around the corner!

*** Update *** Thank you so much to you all for responding to this call for help. We provided your feedback to council, which was invaluable. It seems to have worked as while not completely settled yet the Council has noted they are no longer looking for a Traffic report, which has shaved weeks off of the process. Thanks again, really appreciate it and can't wait to meet you and your pups soon!

*Looking for your help * Hope this finds you all well as we settle into another lockdown – if your pups are anything like ours then they at least will be enjoying the quality time at home with you!

This week we received some bad news (well more bad news). Boroondara Council has told us we need to commission a traffic report to see the impact on the area of people driving/parking at the Daycare. This will add weeks to the process and thousands in extra costs! To try to address their concerns we were hoping AS MANY OF YOU COULD COMMENT below if you:

1. Will walk or take other non-driving means (e.g. dropping off your pup on the way to public transport)

2. If driving, i) your estimated drop off and pick up times; ii) note if you’re intending to park for a while and do other errands or just to drop/collect your doggo, and; iii) if you are happy to find parking on William Street or using McLeod Lane and will not park on Burwood Road from 4:30-6:30pm when it is a clearway.

We have providing a lot of information to the Council already, such as that there are no residences close by (all surrounding areas are commercial or Swinburne), there are parking restrictions in the area (which generally restricts parking to 1-2 hours, which is more than enough for a drop off/pick up), these restrictions are from 8am-6pm when local traffic is busier is actually less likely to be peak dog daycare times (as people often are fitting in daycare around their work schedules) and that there is plenty of parking in William Street or the very generously sized McLeod Lane could be utilised.

Also we’d like to give a big thank you to Wes Gault - Councillor for Glenferrie, who when we contacted him about this after 5:30pm on a Wednesday, was very happy to talk the issue through with us and offered to speaking with the Council on our behalf.

We know this is a challenging time for people and feel bad about asking for help now but we could really use it!

**Announcement** I'm excited to announce we've just finalised and signed the lease for the Dog Daycare site at 489 Burwood Road! Pups will be able to enjoy a beautiful heritage building space with ample room and flooded with natural light. There's lots of parking around the back lane and it's close to both Glenferrie and Auburn Stations. As a bonus, it's close to Central Park, which may mean optional dog walkies during the day. We'll be up and running as soon as council approval comes in, hopefully in 1-2 months.
