In South Morang, there is a cheeky and spirited 8-month-old Spoodle named Biscuit. Although he’s a delightful companion, he was initially unaware of his own strength during walks, making the experience less enjoyable for his owner. Additionally, Biscuit didn’t recognize when the family cat needed a break from his playful energy.

After addressing the challenges with walking, we focused on improving Biscuit’s interactions with the cat. The training went exceptionally well, and Biscuit was eager to learn more, as dogs often thrive under clear guidance, rules, and boundaries.

A few days later, I received positive feedback that everything is progressing smoothly. Both the cat and dog are content, and most importantly, the owner is happy with the results.

In Mount Waverley, I tackled a dual dog training challenge with two powerful pups: Rupert, a gentle giant of a poodle, and Abbie, a lovable yet attention-seeking Greyhound. Initially, their strength made walking a daunting task for their owners. 💪🏻 However, after a productive session, both dogs were walking calmly by our sides. The next day, I was happy to receive a review and photo of their impressive progress shot with “stay on bed” training. 👏 It was a truly rewarding experience, seeing them off to such a great start! 😊🐾

Meet Norman - a very cute / funny 5 month old Jack Russell who was starting to test the waters a bit too much and his owners had the battle scars to show for
it 🥲 Now that he has hit teenage years and being a hunting breed, Norman needed tailored training. We started with a long walk to build some respect up through heel training and then we addressed various other issues inside the home based around toilet training. Norman was in full concentration and did amazing!

Tired after all that focusing! 😴 Harmonious household environment restored ✅

Had a ‘sockcessful’ 🧦 training session with Missy the smoochy 9 month old cavoodle from Werribee. She had been pulling on walks in every direction and had a unique fixation with socks!🤪 Missy’s family had gone through an army of socks with holes in them and it got to the point where enough was enough 🧦

During our two hour lesson we had quite the breakthrough as you can see, the socks are finally safe! I heard back that Missy has passed the test even with the ultimate temptation of having the washing baskets out, which was never possible until now. Well done Missy!! Here’s to hole free socks! 🧦🎉

Meet Winston the 2 year old French Bulldog. 🐶 We sprinkled a little harmony into this household with some training. Winston loves life and wants to meet everyone on his walks, which includes pulling his owner in all directions. He also lives with a 10 year old French Bulldog who doesn’t have the patience for all the action and please play with me all day energy.

Within 2 hour lesson we learned to walk perfectly which was great for his owner as Frenchies can be pretty stubborn🤪We also did stay on your bed training and front door bell ringing test which Winston passed beautifully. Everyone in this household will be happy, especially Winston as now he has some clear direction 😎

Little Timmy the 7 year old Silky x Maltese from Box Hill North is quite the gentleman, but was a notoriously loud one, both at home and on walks. He would bark relentlessly whenever he heard or saw another dog. It wasn’t fun for the neighbours either as you could hear him from the end of the court 🔊 Last thing we needed is a complaint and council getting involved.

Timmy’s family had a trainer previously but to no avail, if anything it probably made things worse. I’m glad this family didn’t give up! Timmy went through our training session successfully with flying colours. We set out on a walk where luckily we encountered a lady with three dogs which after slowly proceeding closer and closer, we ended up within metres with silence 🐁 Back at home we tried similar things with the doorbell ringing etc. I’ve recently heard back and Timmy has made his family pleased as punch 🥳

Happy New Year everyone 🎆 and what a perfect start to 2024 with my first client of the year Snoopy the 9 week old Cavoodle from Chevromist Kennels Puppies who is the newest member of the household in Canterbury.

Snoopy received the puppy training A-Z lesson to ensure he is a good boy from day dot. There were a few mixed messages with the toileting setup that we remedied and the big backyard proved very helpful with this issue, as well as creating some independence. We practiced walking on a lead in the backyard for the future, some basic commands and most importantly how to stop that pesky biting and barking for attention.

This family is rightfully in love with this beautiful boy 🐶🥹

Oscar the 11 week Jack Russell has been causing quite a stir out in Bayswater. His family have chickens and being a hunting dog this can obviously be risky. Toileting wasn’t off to the best start either. Giving a young puppy too much freedom at the beginning sets the tone for our expectations at adulthood. We orchestrated a more effective setup for happy chicken / dog in the backyard and did the usual superstar training to get little Oscar well on his way to being the best good boy🐶

I got to see Millie the Moodle again! I first met this little one when she was only 8 or 9 weeks old for her initial puppy lesson in Brighton East from Chevromist Kennels Puppies. Time flies and she’s now 7 months old and quite the cheeky little girl! She hadn’t quite figured out that play biting your family members while they’re relaxing on the couch meant you’re missing out on a lot of cuddles 🙄 We did some big girl training, had a walk around the block to get her focused and walking nicely and we ticked off stay on the bed training.

Millie was so smart at the end she took herself back without anyone having to intervene. We then enjoyed sitting on the couch with her chilling and teeth free 😬 Excellent turn out! Millie can soak up all the affection now 🐶

Meet my pal Marly the 6 year old labradoodle in Brighton East who had been really testing her family’s patience. They’d had a trainer previously but it didn’t work out and probably did more harm than good sadly. Marly is a lovely sociable girl but was too energetic and jumping on as well as play biting people. As a big dog even play biting can be a problem. It had sadly gotten to the point where she was to be rehomed as she’d bitten more than one person at their home.

We started with walking outside and mastering heel training ensuring every family member had a go. We then worked on the barking at the front door that was pretty full on but after a few goes Marly calmed right down and sat there quietly relaxed.

This will be a continuous effort to ensure she doesn’t fall back to old habits but the change in behaviour in one lesson was remarkable. Well done Marly and family 🏅

I was called out to Bentleigh to the aid of Chilli the moodle puppy from Chevromist Kennels Puppies. Chilli’s owner had recently suffered slipped discs in her back which has added to the stress of a new puppy on top of coping with constant pain, so she needed immediate help!

We successfully managed to do most of the lesson with minimal movement for her, whilst having great success with Chilli. First on the list was setting up a safe outdoor environment instead of being stuck in a playpen where toileting in the house could go backwards very fast!
We addressed all the puppy essentials including biting and how to start walking once her owner is on the mend. A huge success and relief for all!

Meet Izzy the dreamy 16 week old Cavoodle and latest canine resident in Southbank. Her family sought out training to start Izzy off on the right foot. They’d only had her a few days when I turned up, but I was very impressed with their setup. A few minor tweaks and it’s now safe and effective for toilet training. Because they got Izzy later than usual, everything has to be in order for when she becomes a teenager in one month’s time.

We took Izzy on her first walk and once she got going she was loving the big outside world! Done and dusted, this dog is equipped for a lifetime of success ✅

Can we please admire this beautiful walk by Clarrie the Springer Spaniel cross. Wish I had a before video but if you can imagine a tractor 🚜 pulling it was close!

Clarrie is a 16 month old rescue who recently found home with a lovely family. He was pretty good around the house for the most part but there were problems once he stepped outside with reactivity issues constantly pulling in every direction if a car goes past, a bird lands and all
control was lost if another dog came along. His poor owner suffers from arthritis so walks have not been enjoyable and Clarrie has been stuck with boundless energy indoors and nowhere to burn it.

We wanted to help these two so much and after our training session we succeeded and showed Clarrie that walking can actually be enjoyable! Afterwards he slept during the day for the first time! 💪🏻🐾

Cookie is a 10 week old Poochon puppy ecstatic about his new family and home in Wantirna South, except for the teeny fact he enjoys peeing all over it! 😝 Toilet training was the first item on the puppy training agenda.

We devised a more effective system to speed up Cookie’s toilet training to get him to go outside but also create a safe space throughout the day to have some alone time and curb the urge to chew the furniture to bits! 🙄

This little man is a confident dog which made his first walk an easy success as he’s not afraid of much! 😎 Puppy lessons are the best, a clean canvas of learning habits that we can instil to give our pets the best life🥇Cookie gets a 🍪!

Maika is a 9 week old Westie from Kealba and a training delight! In true Terrier colour, he was fearless and cheeky, but already settling in so well. His family was well prepared, they’d set up a suitable playpen for during the day and I was most impressed that they were already trying to teach him to walk in their backyard. This speeds up the process so much for when they can actually walk him out in the world. Training starts from day one! 😎

We established they have a safe backyard to leave him in for periods of time to acclimatise him to alone time and also speed up toilet training. Maika also learned how to stop biting and other puppy undesirables. This family’s future is looking shiny bright with Maika 😊🐾

Meet Winnie border collie from Doncaster East 🐕 At 5 months old this little lady was all wired up when I arrived as most working breeds are. The garden was holding on by a thread too 🤪🪴 We came up with a plan that would keep her happy in a big safe space and also keep the family veggie patches intact 😎

Winnie is a precious dog, eager to please her family and super quick to learn what boundaries and direction looked like. We took her for a long walk in her hood where she learned to walk beautifully and not react to other dogs. Indoors, we did stay on your bed training so she could also enjoy being inside more without her owners worrying about her running around the house and across furniture.

Training with working breeds is always so rewarding as they are so driven and intelligent and Winnie is a testament to her breed. Training early will go a long way in avoiding a stubborn adult who will be a lot more resistant to new ways so kudos to excellent leadership by this family 👏🐾

Dogs and cats to be fair! 🤣✅🐾

Diesel is a two year old Australian Cattle dog from Hawthorn East, who previously didn’t get to walk much as it wasn’t an enjoyable experience for anyone🐾 He could really pull to the point you might hit the deck! Look at him now though! I think Diesel was the happiest one as he can now enjoy walks with his family! 😎 Amazing outcome😊

Disco is a majestic 6 month old German Shepherd boy. As a rescue, his family recognised some behavioural issues and sought some training. Disco was out of control indoors and almost impossible for any family member to walk due to extreme pulling. We made fantastic progress together with obedience and heel training. After mastering the walk, he realised how it is infinitely more pleasant without the fight. Final lesson we ticked off was to teach him to stay on his bed, instead of doing zoomies around their nice house. Every dog should be able to enjoy their walk and every owner should feel in control when outdoors - this is especially important with larger breeds to master early. Disco was a great student and his owners terrific! Keep it up guys 😉✅

Introducing Luna the Border collie kelpie mix. I must say she is such a lovely dog, I was amazed at what a gentle soul she was. The ‘fun’ began however each time she was outside. At the beach, Luna had trouble keeping still around dogs and she would go NUTS for seagulls 🐦 After a short while training we had her sitting still while dozen of birds flew overhead. She did a great job, as did her owners! Here’s a video of her walking beautifully. No more pulling people’s shoulders out. Apparently she slept for hours after I left, haha 🐕

Meet Frankie the Hungarian Vizsla. At only 6-7 months he’s already a big boy! This was his second lesson in Port Melbourne. We got him to stop pulling on walks and to match his owners pace on the left. I was very impressed seeing how well Frankies owner had progressed with his stay training from previous lesson. What a great dog he has become, thumbs up to both of you 👍
