Adorable Eevee waiting for a treat after her Cartrophen injections last week!

Poppy's Pebble Predicament

Adorable little Poppy, the 12-week-old Labrador puppy, found herself in a bit of trouble last week when she swallowed a rather large river pebble. Fortunately, her attentive owners rushed her to the clinic, and after a thorough examination by the veterinarian, it was advised to induce vomiting.

Luckily, Poppy was able to vomit up the pebble, along with her breakfast and after some cuddles with Kia, she was soon back to her cheerful self. Let’s hope she stays away from any pebble predicaments in the future!

Meet Sarah- our lovely groomer! 🐩

We are so excited to share that we have a new addition to our grooming team! Some of you may have met Sarah lately as she has been working alongside Ann for a couple of months now, and getting to know all your fur babies.

Sarah has been working closely under the watchful eye of Ann to replicate all the beautiful works of art Ann creates. Sarah will be here with us Monday to Friday, with Ann reducing her days to Tuesday and joining Sarah for a double action day!

We can’t wait to see your little pups in clinic with us, and feel free to drop past and say hi to Sarah any time!

Meet Charli & Bella 🐾

Bella came in last week as she had damaged her dew claw and it was requiring removal. After a consultation with Dr Olivia, it was recommended we administered some sedation to remove the damaged nail.

Bella was then admitted into hospital to be doted over and cared for by one of our lovely nurses Charli. Charli is new to our team but has quickly become such a integral part. She completed her certificate of Veterinary Nursing last year and this year has continued into her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing. Charli brings so much joy and compassion to the clinic which is shown in the way she cares for our patients, like Bella.

Once Bella’s nail was removed, a bandage was placed to protect the nail bed and allow for prompt healing. She was then cuddled and cared for by Charli until discharge. ❤️‍🩹

Meet Daphne, our brave little pup who recently faced a challenge—a broken radius and ulna! But with determination and a little help from her cast, she’s on the road to recovery!

It all started during one of Daphne's spirited play sessions. A quick leap and a misplaced paw led to a painful accident, resulting in fractures in her front leg. It was a tough moment, but her loving family rushed her up to the clinic.

At the clinic, Daphne received a thorough examination from Dr Nick. We performed radiographs to assess and visualise Daphne’s bone. Unfortunately, they showed two fractures, one to her ulna and one to her radius. A cast was then applied to stabilise her broken bones, this allows for proper healing and reduce mobility of Daphne’s leg. It took Daphne some time to adapt but was ready to embrace her new accessory!

With regular check ups and cast adjustments over the next few weeks, a full recovery will be right around the corner ❤️‍🩹🐾

Mocara had Cruciate Ligament surgery last week, she was such a brave girl and is now recovering at home with her family ❤️‍🩹

Her rehabilitation includes rest, gentle exercises, and lots of love from her family. We celebrate her little victories—extra steps, a wagging tail, and enjoying her favorite snacks! 🍖

Mocara reminds us of the importance of patience and support in recovery. We’re all cheering for her as she gets closer to being back on her paws, playing and running again! 🎉

Patient of the week goes to Frankie Pizza! 🍕 After his poor owner’s noticed he had a sore leg, they rushed him up to the vet. Frankie Pizza was admitted into hospital for some radiographs to better assess his leg & to make sure he had no breaks (and have some cuddles!). Luckily for Frankie Pizza, the radiographs showed no sign of bone changes or damage, just a lot of bruising and swelling on one of his toes that extended up his paw. He was sent home with some anti-inflammatories and prescribed some TLC. ❤️‍🩹 Sound on for video for some of the loudest purrs 📣

Lexi came in for the last of her puppy vaccinations today! Thanks to the licky mat she didn’t notice a thing. It makes it a better experience for them as well as keeping them still long enough for needles! We try to make visits to the vet as fear free as possible for everyone! 🐾😍
