Storm’s hyperthyroid update

Storm has put on some more weight, after dinner she weighs 2.5kg, all her sharp boney bits have started to smooth over and she almost looks a healthy weight (for Storm). She has always been petite, even when pregnant with 5 kitten her maximum weight was 3.4kg).
The last 3 days she has demanded 2 dinners.

On a side note: Zoot’s latest hobby is trying to steal Storms tablets as I pop them out of the foil blisters. Yesterday I had to wrestle it out of his mouth 🙀

Storm Update

Last month Storm needed a blood test to confirm her HT diagnosis, but with her fear of needles, the vet needed to sedate her to take her blood sample.
1 month later, after daily training and the amazing vet team of nurses and vet at Melbourne Cat Vets, Storm had her blood taken without sedation. Here she is at home afterwards trying to chill off the huge gabapentin dosage she had which didn’t do anything during her appointment 😹

Zoot: MUM! I know you’re on a working meeting phone call, but can you come to the kitchen and have a look what I caught, as I know I’m not allowed to bring critters into the house. I didn’t think this one would survive but after 15min rest he ran off back under the deck ready for round 2! He was as big as my hand, Zoot’s biggest catch yet in the catio!
