Before a herd paddock you would never put Frankie near another horse he would kick and strike. Now after finding his inner peace in his heard he can now be in a group paddock and ridden next to his herd horses. I love a happy ending. You may ask what we did, I can tell you nothing we put him in a herd paddock with many other horses and let them be horses. They don’t need our help to find their feet, they need us to leave them alone and just let them be. XA ps the pile was knocked down by human not horse 🤣
Video of Rebel and I at the John Saint Ryan clinic at Molyullah Mountain Trail. Getting Rebel to relax and stretch, he finally just let go and enjoyed the ride 😊. Thanks John for the support and guidance XA ps he is not instructing me his pointers are for another rider.
Love that my horses choose to be with me ❤️ building a solid foundation on trust and understanding is better than force and fear.
Yesterday was our first EVER English show. Rebel and I having a crack at jumping and dressage and all I can say is this horse leaves me feeling like a teen again. He is the most beautiful, giving and genuine horse I have ever known. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have him in my herd. When we think of unicorns we think bombproof, quiet and unemotional. Not me I’m looking for that connection the feel and the knowing that you both have each others back and you could fly together, Well my Rebel can be spicy and has an opinion, he is always trying and I love that. Who wouldn’t love a horse that try’s everything and has the ability to keep their cool 90% of the time just so their human can pop over some poles and dance around an arena. A big appreciation post to all those spicy unicorns keep doing you.❤️🦄🌶️
When you learn to relax and just breathe it makes your horse feel safe and confident in your ability. Big shout out to Bec and Apollo who is just starting out their jumping career, I’m so super proud of your progress and how quickly you both have just found your groove together 🎉🎉🎉
Rebel having a roll after a big ride at hookers road nyora.
Moving the cows on a Monday on Bindi Girl who hasn’t done any hard work in a long time 🤣
When your ride runs out of fuel and you get dash boarded 😂.
Sonny has been with me for 3 weeks.
Sonny’s owner wanted him brought back into work for her beginner daughter, we did some foundation work to help see where the building blocks were missing. Before we do anything we ensure his behaviour isnt pain related so set down the path to find the issue we had teeth, body work and farrier out, I will never work a horse “through” pain. We fix the issue and make sure the horse is capable and comfortable to move forward with their training. Sonny took the whole ride like a old pro. Great pony and great ride. Remember relax and just breathe xA
I love how these guys have learnt so quickly to follow the quad as a herd. It’s amazing to watch the herd change daily with who is top and who is bottom… today Rebel is missing his tail flap off his rug so I’m guessing he is low in the pecking order today. 😂
Yesterday after a week of slowly getting my horses to know each other in a safe space they were all let out into a herd environment. We actually got to see them free together, I had a huge smile, a lot or laughter and even had a tears of joy when I watched them running all together happy and as one. I can’t wait to see if there is a change in their behaviour may it be good or not so good. X
When you have a bond with your equine partner you don’t need force or pressure. Harry here was following me over obstacles even when he has an opportunity to just walk away or not engage, he chooses to be with me. It’s a great feeling to have such a beautiful being want to connect and play ❤️🐴.
Here is an update on Cookie and Oreo for our little follower Jaxon. Today we got rugs on which I will upload a video tomorrow on how we did that, also had some special time giving scratches, had to use my full strength to give Cookie a good scratch.
When you work as a team with your horse amazing things can happen. A relaxed and beautiful relationship can be built.
Rohan’s second ride, he is such a good boy with all the road works in the background, we even did a jog today 🎉
