The puppy training with KALAPUPS was great …. You were very knowledgeable and experienced.
We weren’t sure whether to sign up or not as we have had puppies before and been to puppy school though not for a few years (a lot of years!)
We thought we were pretty ok with it all. However, we picked up lots of tips, and had fun, and are very glad we went.

I wanted to share some personal news and insights on a challenging journey we’re about to face. Ollie was diagnosed with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD), which is similar to Alzheimer's in humans. This diagnosis means it will be a roller coaster ride for us all, filled with both good days and bad.

Caring for a dog with dementia can be tough. You might notice symptoms like disorientation, changes in sleep patterns, house soiling, or altered interactions. These changes can be difficult to navigate, but with the right support, we can help our beloved pets continue to live fulfilling lives.

🔹 Quality of Life: Ensuring a good quality of life for Ollie involves managing symptoms with medications, providing environmental enrichment, and maintaining a consistent routine. Regular veterinary check-ups are essential to monitor his health and well-being.

🔹 Comfort and Safety: Simple adjustments in the home, like using night lights, blocking off stairs, and providing easy access to food and water, can make a big difference.

He is in the early stages, but I can see changes which are upsetting for me. I ask for your understanding and patience during this time.

Our Level One class graduated on June 30, 2024! While I didn't get individual photos, I captured the class successfully completing the recall through the obstacle course. Our course includes distractions, and the other dogs are kept at a distance to make it easier for the running dog. Owners have the option to participate and decide whether to drop the lead. We set everyone up for success, and they all did an amazing job! Well done, everyone!
