Hey Guys,

We have been quiet on our social media but busy working hard to keep your canines beautiful!

Last month, Rebecca and Tahlia competed in the pet show grooming competition.

Rebecca’s first competition was with her poodle Rosie in the novice poodle class. Although she didn't receive a place this time, she received tremendous praise and feedback from the judges and is preparing for her next competition. We are incredibly proud of Rebecca and her efforts.

Tahlia competed with Asia, the standard poodle, in the intermediate-level Asian fusion class, again a first-time class. Tahlia won her class and received Best in Group against tough competition in a large class. Tahlia also competed with her lovable mini schnauzer Presley receiving 3rd place in the master class handstrip. We are so proud of Tahlia, her dedication, and her achievements.

With a bit of warmth and sunshine, we are getting many matted pets. Now is the time to look at booking an appointment for your pet! With limited availability through August and September, please do not wait. We don't want your pets to struggle with matted coats as the warm weather returns and our waiting time increases.

Our salon is home to a number of purebred clients as we are a specialist salon for several purebred breeds. We are open to entry level or experienced applicants.
Must work well in a team environment but also be able to work independently and be capable of handling an often busy and noisy environment.

Following on from our senior pets post. I went looking back through photos. It brought many tears, but more importantly so many fun memories of our pets. Who have passed the rainbow bridge, always in our memories. I’m sorry I don’t have pics of every dog, but I can remember their names. This is not a sad post, but one of remarkable dogs and friendships made along the way. Feel free to share ❤️.

Senior Dogs

Some of our clientele have been privileged to have the same groomer their entire life, something special.

As our pups age, they will experience -

- [x] Coat change

- [x] Hormonal change (Blood work, vet)

- [x] Arthritis

- [x] Disease

- [x] Dementia

- [x] Dryer Anxiety

- [x] Vision/Hearing loss

When we let you know you’re senior is having anxiety (dementia), please know we have done everything in our power to control the situation.

If we ask you to pre/bath your senior, it's purely in your dog's interest.

Please never allow your senior to become matted; they have wafer-thin skin, becoming a considerable cut risk, not ideal for an anxious animal.

Senior dogs need more care than young dogs.

We have had a family death in Neah’s family and a wedding next week for Tahlia. We are going at our absolutely best to keep up with our capacity already booked.

Our focus is on dogs booked in for our days ahead, keeping a calm and respectful manner is our goal. This is imperative to our team right know. We appreciate your trust, privacy and respect at this time. Messages and phone calls will be delayed in response and we apologise for what is out of our control.

At this time with one of our team also on holiday, we may not be able to accommodate priority grooming.

Though there’s a bit going on we are all ok and not seeking anything other than patience 🕊️💍
