Two more unusual Sensory Coat requests last week - the first has been designed for an Assistance Dog being placed with a child with very special needs. The young lad will need a very gentle introduction to his new dog, but as he has a love of numbers it is hoped that by asking him to point out the numbers 0-10 it will help him associate positively with the dog and slowly build a bond of trust
The second coat was requested by an Occupational Therapist, for use in her practice with her Therapy Dog. It features a number of fine motor skills activities including zips, buttons, velcro strips, toggle, bow and even little shoelaces - Plus a sneaky toy that can be hidden in the pocket 🥰

I think its fair to say young Scarlett enjoyed being an enthusiastic model and tester for my latest range addition -a super colourful, hand washable Bone Snuffle Mat 😂

Did you know that snuffling activites actually offer your dog as much (if not more) brain exercise than a standard walk - lots of fun for them too - and there are heaps of different options to choose from in my store, from beginner activities to more advanced designs for serious snufflers 🐾🐾🐾

I thoroughly enjoyed making this special Sensory Coat for a lovely Client and her Assistance Dog in Training - its a bit like creating a fabric jigsaw puzzle! The coat features a mix of fabrics and textures in her favourite colours, with zips and added "fiddling" embellishments. Two soft side Velcro patches were added to display her own badges. Custom fit was important too, as you can see her Poodle is tall and long in body, but very slim - Finished result looks great on him though eh?

I really need to up my FB game - I was so disheartened after being hacked last year that I lost all confidence but realise I need to put that behind me and try again. So I'm hoping to get back up to speed on here now, and will start with a couple of custom made "Assistance Dog In Training" coats made recently to two customer's different specifications. They were both a big hit 🥰

Taking a leaf out of Dan's book, hubby Brian recently made me a set of beautiful wooden Labrador Head Bookends - I love them so much that we've now added them to our Pebbles & Paws range.

Now I'm encouraging him to look at other breeds too - no rest for the talented 🥰🥰🥰

I had fun creating this new range of hessian lined fabric pot holders to showcase your love of indoor foliage and our furry best friends!
