All of a sudden it’s forbidden to keep sticks in the toe beans?? 🤯
Stormur took this all like a champ and did so well while the vets sedated him and took the piece from his paw ❤️ the same can not be said about mom who could not hold her tears back and cried the whole way back home after leaving Stormur 🥲 the wait was only 40 minutes before she could come back for him so was all this drama llama really necessary?
For the x-ray the day before and the surgery we paid in total 64.000isk(465$, 364£, 428€) and the insurance will cover most of it ❤️ so if you can we always recommend having insurance, it can really safe the day when things like this happen 💰

Do you get to sleep in your pawrents bed?
We’ve slept there since day 1. And we’ll likely sleep there till our last day.
It’s not icky or dirty (seriously, just wash the sheets regularly and vacuum the mattress), but it gives so much like warmth, coziness, and it’s scientifically proven to give the hoomans a better sleep.
Not sure that last bit counts for our hooma thanks mostly to Alauda here who is a nocturnal creature. So her night rest has been disturbed for a good while. 🥴
But the little furnace option is a nice bonus. Iggies are SO WARM!
It’s definitely a great bonding experience.
It creates a bond much quicker with any new dog. It calms them much quicker too.
And how in the world could you not love seeing the senior sleep so peacefully?
And she won’t be there forever. 😭

First of all, my dogs are a bit spoilt and don’t wanna go down on a cold, hard stone floor so i use just a thin blanket for some comfort from @lumiies.highvisibility
For me it was hard to learn a small dog to go down as they are already close to the ground and easily in reach of a treat that you hold down in front of them.
Super important before you start; Lots of praises, patience and treats! I use the freeze dried premium treats from @incentivespets in Salmon flavor, as you can see Tofu is crazy about them.
I start using my leg first super low so that Tofu have to crawl underneath it, and say the command down (Don’t push your dog down to the ground with your leg, they have to do that themselves) you continue this over and over again until they get it. Then you gonna raise your leg higher and higher until its not necessary to use your leg anymore 🙌🏻 This is how i learned both Tuna and Tofu to go down, i hope this could be useful to other small dog owners too.
