Pets & FIREWORKS WARNINGS
Fireworks – Plan ahead – keep your pets safe:

Do NOT take you pets to any events where there will be fireworks – or where there could be fireworks nearby.

Keep pet INDOORS &/or a VERY secure area where they cannot escape.

Fireworks Pet Care warning - Please Keep your Pets Indoors & safe!

Reduce the sound and sight of fireworks by shutting all the doors and windows of your house when your pet is inside

Camouflage the sound of fireworks by using the radio or television

Make sure your pet can't break out of any doors or windows as broken glass and wood can hurt your pets too.

Provide plenty of water as animals pant and salivate more when stressed and can become very thirsty. More water can help them be less stressed when they need to drink.

Ensure your pet is Micro-chipped and registration details submitted to your local council. If any address or phone details change – update these so that you can be contacted.

(If you don’t update this – then you will not be able to be contacted easily, and if you can’t be contacted, then your pet may not be able to get back to you!) –

Note: A pet being micro-chipped doesn’t mean that the details are automatically registered or kept updated – it is up to the pet carer/owners/guardian to keep these details up to date.

If you can hear fireworks, or see them, please understand that your pets can also often feel the reverberations as well!

Be safe, be sure, our pets are our precious family members and we just need to take precautions to keep them all safer!
