You can suggest a SPLIT (share a box) or Join a Split. We purchase as a group and are up to 30% cheaper than online supermarkets. It’s a Smart co-op so you get more of what you want than a regular co-op.

If you do fortnightly then this is the place to go to organise your orders. Wednesday 9pm – Orders are created. Note Star Products at the top of the list in SPLITS tab. These are recommendations by your Hubster. The green dollar sign products are good value. Start your order in Marketplace then go to your SPLITS tab. This is explained in your Welcome email. Saturday 9pm - CUTOFF

It's pasta bake weather. This is a simple one built like a lasagne and if you're time poor you can make it in stages. We made a simple white sauce, boiled pasta and threw in broccoli a few minutes shy of the total cooking time. Added dried herbs and half a glass of red wine to passata. And grilled some onion slices for 10mins. Then it was the tomato sauce on the bottom of the pan, pasta, white sauce, veg and repeat. Top with thin slices of cheddar on the white sauce. Into a 180 degree oven for 40 min. Delicious and make six serves with salad.

Fifteen mins & brunch for 2 is served. Fry up slices of onion & when golden added sliced garlic. Then throw in half a cup of veggie stock followed a minute after by a monster bunch of chopped kale leaves. Stir for a min, b**g a lid on your pot and leave for 5 mins. Fry up an egg or three and toast 4 pieces of . Avocado the toast, add a splash of red wine vinegar or worchestershire sauce to the kale and some hot sauce. Pepper everything liberally & serve. on a plate!

This week I'm excited to share with you Why I Love the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗶𝗹.

First up, I love that it is organic and is cold-pressed, which means the oil is extracted without the use of heat or chemicals. This is important in retaining the flavour and the amazing health benefits of olive oil. It has a beautiful rich flavour which I particularly love in salad dressings and drizzled over vegetables and meat. I use it daily in cooking and just as well it comes in a bulk 5 litre container as I go through this stuff like there's no tomorrow!

At $75 for 5 litres it may feel like a bit of an upfront investment, but it is seriously great value. On the H2G website the 5 litre Extra Virgin sells for $110 and even better value when compared with non-organic large (3L) supermarket brands: Squeaky Gate is $14 per litre, Red Island $15.30 per litre, and Cobram Estate $17.33 per litre.

For me, buying in bulk also means less trips to the supermarket which is a very good thing.

Very lazy food assembly last night. Two bunches of fresh asparagus (ends snapped off & saved for stock). Asparagus splashed virgin olive oil & then under the griller for ten mins. Put on pasta at the same time for the same time. Shave some parmesan cheese. Pasta goes into bowls, mixed with a teaspoon of prepared mustard per bowl, lots of black pepper, a splash of worcestershire sauce, then mixed. Top with the asparagus and cheese. easy, delicious, all

Back in 2023, many farmers were saying that they had noticed a widening gap between the prices they were receiving from the supermarkets, and the retail prices in the stores. This prompted the ACCC to commence a year-long investigation into how retail prices are set, and how retailer power disadvantages growers.

It has also prompted some politicians to suggest that supermarkets should be compelled to reveal what they pay for produce, and it looks like the ACCC may take this up, according to an article in the SMH. Good luck with that…but if it’s good enough for the supermarkets, it’s also good enough for Box Divvy.

So, from this week, we will report on the prices we pay to growers, wholesalers and suppliers for every single product we sell – as well as identifying the supplier. Over the past few weeks, we have spoken with dozens of suppliers about the idea, and they agree it has a lot of merit. We may even shame the supermarkets – and other retailers - into following our example (although we’re not holding our breath…).

Initially, this information will only show by clicking on the product name. Over the coming weeks, we’ll make further improvements by:
• Showing price and supplier more prominently on Marketplace
• Providing Supplier Profiles and contact information so this pricing data can be verified.

Brad Johnson is back with his 100% grass-fed beef boxes from Gloucester and Mt George.

His Mt George farm ( 's Farmer Jayne is only 15kms north-east of him in Wherrol Flat), took some video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SfRxAKRhlT4 and he shared the good news that he’s reduced the cost of the existing boxes by up to 15%, and introduced 3 smaller boxes starting at just $83 including delivery.

First delivery is 2nd March for orders ending this Sunday.

You can make with chopped parsley, garlic, and grated lemon zest. Here we chopped fresh celery leaves -- they are more nutritious than the stems, added chopped green olives, lime zest and chopped garlic. Eaten with dry biscuits as part of a cheese platter and then finished off for supper with some rice. .

Spaghetti squash season is short and spaghetti squash are terrific eating. Here we sliced one in half, brushed with oil and roasted in a hot oven for half an hour. Topped with pesto using South Australian La Vera pecorino, almonds, and olive oil. Healthful meal. This small squash fed 4 hungry people for under $2 a head. ($3.50 for the squash and $2.91 for the basil.)
