Yanven Kenny reminding me why I like him so much after a 200 meter cast.
This is Jill ( another one of Johnny’s sisters from a previous post) It’s hard to imagine how a pup can develop into a first class sheepdog from such a basic start, however I have a simple, low stress, step by step training method that will build a pup like this into just that.
We are running a school on 24/25 August and another on 31/1 September for anyone interested in learning this method.
Message me at Yanven Kelpies or call 0448572000 if interested.
Yanven Target doing the job without overdoing the job.
Another one of Johnny’s sisters.
This is Yanven Chrissie by Yanven Kenny 2nd x Darcoo Cody 2nd.
She is just starting her apprenticeship and getting the feel of holding ewes and lambs up to the draft.
We had a good day at the Uraidla show on Sunday with YanvenTarget winning the improver and placing second in the open to Yanven Kenny.
This I Target’s final run.
What retirement looks like for Yanven Trevor.
Safe to say he’s quite content ☀️
Another one of the Target pups.
I’m still not right into training the dogs just yet but I have given Gem a few runs and pretty happy with her progress.
This is one of Target’s first litter out of Yanven Ruby 2nd. Hopefully there will be more like her.
We are running a dog training school on 26th and 27th of August and have some places available for anyone interested. We teach a simple low stress method that produces keen, confident and biddable alround workers suitable for trials or work.
This is Gem, a sister to Glen and Garry. The young dogs have had 3 months off training because I’ve been busy lamb marking but because the training has been kept pure and free of pollution I’ve been able to continue from where I left off.
Over the years I’ve come to believe a dog is two and a half years old before he is really mature and Target’s performance these days strengthens my belief.
This is Garry, Glen’s brother. I hope they forgive me for their names. We have 2 sisters that are very similar also which is pleasing as it demonstrates the consistency of the joining.
This is Glen. By Yanven Kenny2nd x Yanven Olive.
Yanven Daisey is about ready to hand over to Morgan. Not sure how long it’ll take her to stop smiling.
Some more of Mulga today.
This is Yanven Mulga holding ewes and lambs up to the yards while we make a bit of room for them.
