Something a little different that got added to the collection last month. A lutino c**k bird and creamino (turquoise lutino) hen.. hopefully they go down on eggs this season and we will possibly have handraised babies from them.. :)

My only purchase today from toowoomba auction :) totally not disappointed either 😍😍😍 such a stunning hen. Bred by lyn Moore so need I say more :) always happy to add more birds from Lyn :)

Soooo on Tyson's egg hunt yesterday he uncovered a sneaky nest full of green eggs!!
We don't have an ara hen so no idea what's laying them..
Ooh well this lot will go in the inc and hopefully we will make some more!

The littlest member of the family, usually doesn't like chickens at all, but these 2 special little guys have helped him get over his fear, Harry and Sally.
Harry is the most patient, gentle bird I think I've ever met, Sally is a little more flighty but she's coming around to being picked up and cuddled by the almost 3 year old now :)

Hehe something a little exciting. We surprised tyson with a new friend today, he seen a crested duck at the show last weekend and thought it was the coolest thing.
So one randomly popped up locally so thought we'd surprise tyson with him. He's named him pom pom and he will be a friend for his ancona girl. :)

Testing out the newest addition (to us) rcom. Got it for little man to hopefully have some more success hatching his call ducks.
Eggs are from a mix of chickens.
Can't wait for the calls to start laying hopefully we breed more then one this season

Toowoomba waterfowl show today.
Champion apricot mallard (she was the only one)
Champion blue mallard (ours were the only ones)
Pippers got a first place (Tyson was the most proud of this one). Lots of calls today from other really good breeders.
Got some really good feedback from the judge about pippers and mini bossy (natural mallard and apricot mallard).
He had a great day with some good friends and apart from freezing weather we had a lovely day.

So yesterday we ventured to warwick for their annual show. Cold and foggy start to our day but we had a great day catching up with friends.
Tyson had a good day and got a champion aoc for his apricot silver girl
He got lots of seconds to some spectacular ducks from chantal osmond.

I go to buy some new brahma (only 2) Come home with 5 instead, cause u know chicken maths and I took Luke with me 🤣🤣🤣
Anyway the blue silver girls are mine, other 3 are Luke's 🤦‍♀️

So a few weeks ago we added this beautiful babee to our family too 😍😍😍 this is master Ragnar the ragdoll 🤣🤣 just an early bday present for myself 🤣🤣 he's such a delight now he's not terrified of the toddler

Yesterday Tyson won champion call and reserve champion bantam waterfowl of show with his mini bossy duck :)
I also got champion black
Champion white and champion pekin of show with the white c**keral from Jill Gooding.
Was a nice day out :)
