Forest being Forest today. I have spent this campaign feeding him up and speeding him up in the hope of getting him to the level I wanted him to. But at the end of the day he is just one chilled dude.

Wandella Ponies headed off to Mainridge Dressage yesterday. Emily took three horses and rode six different tests. The still 5yo Ozzie competed in the grade two bringing home a 3rd and 5th. Forest competed in the grade 3 and bagged a 3rd and 4th and in his maiden appearance for Wandella Spirit competed in the grade four and after showing too much spirit in the 1st test Emily learnt alot about him and 40 mins later won his 2nd test. Amazing riding by Emily who not only rode three completely different horses to success but also remembered all six different tests.

Update on Bandit. He has now been with us 9 weeks. He has had ground training. Remouthing then saddle education before a short break. He came back to work this week and is looking good thanks to his CEN Horse Nutrition diet and keen to continue his education. Please feel free to see how he looked 2 months ago when we got him. FOR SALE. Due to buyer default, and no fault of his at all this sensational horse is still available. Absolutely no vet check was conducted. Totally sound.

Over 30 yrs of riding performance horses Forest is the quietest safest educated horse I've ever owned. If he was a regular clear 1.15 course Showjumper he wouldn't be going anywhere. But unfortunately 1.04 sees him out consistently clear.

Forest aka Boom Mountain is a 12yo solid 16.2hh chestnut TB gelding who never raced and only had a brief stint in a pre training stable. He is OTT eligible. He spent life in the paddock until 8yo before his breeders sent him to a professional SJ rider where he competed to 1.10m. I have had him the last 18 months where I have competed him to 1.04m winning and placing regularly in 1m classes. He has schooled 1.20m grids at home. Forest is very well trained on the flat at a standard of solid novice and many Elementary movements. Laterals and basic flying changes well established. He has had a few starts at grade 3 and Novice dressage. Always finishing with a ribbon. But dressage comps are limited to rider being a straight Showjumper. He has also schooled easily over 95cm XC fences. He has no vices. Is completely sound and is great to take out to shows and on the trail. We have also used Forest to take our young horses out on the trail etc. Children have ridden and handled him. I have videos of this. He is that quiet. Forest is EA registered and in full work and competing a few times a month. He would suit anyone wanting to compete at his level which would be comfortably up to 95cm Eventing, 1.04m Showjumping or Novice/ grade 2 and 3 dressage. This is including junior riders as he is that safe. Due to his size and education I want him to go to a home of a senior PC rider or adult as he is well educated and has buttons so nervousyoung riders would confuse him. He has magnificent big movement and is ready for someone to purchase and start collecting ribbons. There are videos on the Wandella Ponies fb page and I also have plenty more. Wandella Ponies got the privilege to drop off Oscar to his special new home with Zara. We wish them all the best and happiness in their journey together. Oscar has been with us for approximately 18 months and came along way since arriving as a just broken fluffy teddy bear.

Emily yesterday got the opportunity to ride the 18hh Zander who competes at Avanced and trains PSG to help out the injured Sami Bell. Talk about a pimple on a pumkin.

Archie is an absolutely stunning, solid 15hh, 12 year old, registred Haflinger gelding.

With his current owner, Archie has been to a number of jumping and dressage clinics and lessons and has confidently jumped 80-90cm and has 3 lovely paces. He's been to pony club rallies and taken part in XC, SJ and dressage group lessons. He is currently schooling at Dressage Novice with scope for much higher. He's been swimming in the river and had many hours of trail riding alongside cars, bikes, motorbikes and dogs with no fuss. He's also taken part in numerous obstacle days. Archie is also broken to harness. Which is how he spent a few years of his life before being educated under saddle. This could be a great opportunity to get him back behind the long reins and compete or pleasure harness around.

Archie is great to handle on the ground and fantastic in the paddock but does require a competent rider. He's a solid, strong boy and will test his rider(Has recently learnt to buck on a novice rider he was leased to, but can be easily contained by a competent rider. This is new so should work out of it, perfect 95% of the time). Once he knows you're in charge, he's great and knows his job, beautifully soft in the hand and moves easily off the leg, but he does require a rider that will set the boundaries.

Archie's education is going to continue at Wandella Ponies and he'll get better and better. His price is currently 8k Fitted gear available for a negotiable price.
