Little Yarra Free Range Eggs We are a small acreage focussing on sustainable farming. We will soon be producing lovely free range eggs, with more produce to follow in the coming year.

Our chickens roost and lay inside a mobile caravan that is moved onto fresh pasture daily. The chickens are kept safe from foxes behind electric poultry netting, and also have the protection of our old but trusty dog Sweep.

There is minor flooding in our driveway. While we remain open, if your recycling can wait until Thursday, it will be a better experience.. mud is aplenty!

Not great when your low on eggs!

Girls are on their normal winter break this time of the year (not bird flu). Eggs are in high demand and we are doing our best to keep the farmgate and our local stores stocked up with a good supply of eggs. Not long and the girls will be back to normal 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚

Huge shout out to Angus (pictured) and Eden (not) for managing the farm and the recycling for us over the last week or two. Kids will pretty much reach the bar wherever you set it, so we thought we might as well aim high 😂 Both young lads did a great job, and we couldn’t be luckier than to be in a position where we could leave them to it. If you see them on the farm when you’re cashing your cans or buying your eggs, give them a well deserved pat on the back!

The never ending job of grass cutting. We have spent the whole day mowing around the farm and still plenty more to do, but this is the best area to be doing. 🍓🍓🥚🥚🐔☀️
