AGISTMENT AT STONESTHROW

We have a limited number of agistment spots available at our property at Whittlesea, an hour from the Melbourne CBD & easily accessible from the Northern suburbs.

Full care in private paddocks with shelters and top quality fencing. We feed (Prydes feeds + hay), rug and check on the horses in our care twice daily.

We can facilitate shoeing & care by other professionals by arrangement. We can exercise & school your horse when you can’t get here for any reason.

Our agistment services are best suited to riders/owners wanting to integrate their horse’s care with coaching, training and competition support.

A challenging weekend at Friends of Woady … .equestrian’s beloved , Diesel, colicked in the night and had to be rushed to hospital. He recovered well but will have a few weeks off. No-one got much sleep.

In a possibly related & very regrettable development on Sunday, Full Fathom Five (“Tricks”) - who had been absolutely smashing it - forgot how to count.

Anyway it’s a long story but the good news is that both Tricks and Havelock Brandy are qualified for in the 2* & 4* respectively.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who very generously helped us on the day/night & to for their assistance.

After an enforced break due to truck mechanicals spitting the dummy, we’ll be at Friends of Woady this weekend. Tricks, Brandy & Banjo are having a training run. India’s ottb Diesel will be in eventing kindergarten at his very first horse trials. See y’all there.

Happy Mother’s Day to our favourite horse mum, Jade.

We salute all the horsey mums out there who drive to lessons, tow floats, park floats, spend weekends sleeping in floats, shout encouragement, manage schedules, provide groom duties, treat horse & human injuries - and work their arses off to pay for it all. You rock.

Miss ._lamperd01 got the all-clear from the surgeon to ride again on Friday. Not having sat on a horse at all since August did not deter her from immediately entering the Autumn Show & getting right back out there. Here she is on ottb Diesel in the open 85 today. Up & at ‘em Indi!

We had the best weekend at Hexham Horse Trials. Here’s Tricks (Full Fathom Five) looking very pretty in the 1* dressage.

We also took along Banjo (On Kiley’s Run) and it was a good training run for both horses leading up to Melbourne 3DE. Nothing spectacular but sometimes you just need to get the job done.

Groom India & rider Murray with Tricks after his jumping round at Wandin today. Tricks had a fair few green moments today in his first 1*, but he showed a great attitude & kept on trying. What a good boy.

Summary of Tonimbuk International Horse Trials: hot. Very hot. Especially in a black truck without functional air conditioning 🥵🔥

🐴 Full Fathom Five (“Tricks”) was on his first outing with us & in the EA95. He is a very classy horse who has been started so well by owner and is super willing and eager to please. We have a good feeling about this guy.

🐴Havelock Brandy owned by Erica Rundle had his first outing of the year and put his heart into it to finish 4th in the 3* with plenty of improvement to come.

We were very pleased with both horses.

Big thanks to the organising committee and all the officials & volunteers who worked in the extreme conditions. Also to the sponsors of the divisions we competed in, (95C) and (CC13*-S) as well as to major sponsors and .

Mikey is a lovely young warmblood by Metalic.
He is a 15.2 hh, bay gelding. Mikey is traveling sweetly and confidently. He has been along for 3 outings now and hasn’t missed a beat. He is bred to be a lovely dressage horse, with fluent comfortable paces. He is also a handy jumper being supple and self aware over jumps.

FOR SALE … We are pretty shocked that this guy is still here. Linc: stunning black-brown 9 yo gelding by Americain. 16.3-17h ish. Great temperament, clean x-rays, in full work with Murray, jumping 1m easily with plenty of scope, moves nicely. No dirt & ready to go. 15k negotiable to a great home. Our client needs to sell (personal reasons unrelated to the horse).
