Wendy McClelland is a Certified Guerrilla Marketing coach who has worked with hundreds of business owners to help develop successful strategies to grow their businesses. Over 10,000 people throughout the US and Canada have heard Wendy speak about marketing, social media and business success. After a divorc

e in 1994 Wendy had three small children under the age of 10 to support. She took stock of her skills - she knew how to type well (over 100 words a minute) and speak in front of a crowd comfortably (being raised in a big family had helped!). She was able to get a computer with no money down (and six months to pay it off) and started a typing business - typing term papers for university students, menus and brochures. She created a binder with 10 "pretend companies" and developed an ad, a brochure and a flyer for each. Then every morning she would trade babysitting with a friend and make 10 "cold calls" to local businesses. Her business grew by referrals and soon she was speaking to Chambers of Commerce and even teaching at local colleges and universities. In 1996 she got her own daily radio show featuring a daily tip on small business; she also built her first website - which was chosen by the New York Times as one of the "best biz sites on the 'net" (the same day Microsoft was chosen). She soon became known as an internet marketing expert and was in demand as a speaker throughout the western US and Canada. The business grew as more and more people wanted to learn about this new thing called "the internet" and needed websites developed. Wendy pulled together a team of graphic designers and website developers to help clients get great websites and then the marketing services to support them. In late 1999 Wendy became ill with a life threatening illness and spent over two months in hospital, then nearly two years in recovery learning to walk again and regaining her cognitive skills. During her illness her award winning website's domain was purchased by someone else and so she began from zero again after her recovery. Since then she has written two books, worked with dozens of businesses and hundreds of entrepreneurs. Wendy is a strong survivor who brings a positive spirit and leadership skills to her clients to help them achieve their highest potential! Today Wendy is a proud mom to three grown children (plus a son in law and daughter in law) and three adorable grandsons. She also has a canine "child" Courage who is a 15 year old lab-x - who thinks she's still a puppy!
