The holidays seem to be coming up fast this year! The clinic will be open all week, then closed next Monday and Tuesday for Christmas and Boxing Day. We're open the remainder of the week (Wed Dec 27, Thurs Dec 28 and Fri Dec 29). We're closed again Mon Jan 1, then back to our regular hours on Tues Jan 2.

With a 4 day weekend coming up, don't forget to stock up on food and medication for your pet!

Halloween is almost here! We'd love to see your pets dressed up in their costumes - in a photo or in person! Happy Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week to Tabitha, Allie and our student/soon-to-be tech Corrine! We would have posted something earlier in the week but it's been tough to corral these 3 for a photo as they are always on the move - whether they're managing anesthesia for a patient having surgery, caring for sick or injured patients in the hospital, running diagnostic tests, spending time with clients discussing their pet's health or just keeping the doctors on track and on schedule (which isn't always an easy feat) - we appreciate everything they do here at the clinic!

The Arthur Fall Fair is coming up fast! This year, don't miss the Dog Lovers Days Lure Course! Bring your own dog to participate, or just come and watch the fun! The Lure Course is designed for family dogs with or without previous agility training, and the Dog Lovers team is there to provide guidance for your dog to get them started.

Some fine print for the event:
- Regular gate admission applies to enter the fair, and there is a $5 fee for your dog to run the course
- All dogs must be leashed/handled by a person 18 years or older
- All owners must "stoop and scoop"!
- Dogs are not allowed in public buildings
- All dogs 3 months of age or older must have proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination (this is a WDG Public Health requirement)

This week is Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week. Our receptionist Anna is often the first and last friendly face you see at the clinic. She handles many roles throughout the day, balancing patient and client care and keeping everyone on track - we couldn't do it without her. Thank you for everything you do, Anna!!

Spring has officially arrived, and after a long winter, we're finally getting some warmer weather this week with temperatures forecasted up to 7 degrees celcius.

Did you know that ticks can be active as soon as temperatures reach 4°C, even when there is still snow on the ground? If you haven't already picked up your pet's parasite prevention, now is a great time to do so! As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to us anytime

Happy International Women's Day to our team of awesome women! Allie, Tabitha, Anna, Dr. Kirsten, Dr. Joanne and Dr. Nicole. It wasn't all that long ago that a relatively small group of female veterinarians paved the way for women in the veterinary field. Feeling grateful toward those women, and to our fantastic team!
