Doghike Family:

On November 13th at 2 pm we will be meeting up behind the Springwater Administrative building (2231 Nursery Rd, Minesing, ON L9X 1A8) to do a walk in honour of Katie.

There are no covid mandates as this will be outside. You are welcome to bring your pups of course and if you’d like to bring a drink of your choice in a travel mug.

We can all chat about Katie and enjoy time outside with our pups (Katie’s favourite thing to do).

Mikayla will also be bringing the bag of house keys Katie had, at the end of the walk please stop by her car (black Mazda 3) and pick yours up.

KATELYN MAY BEAUCHAMP It is with profound heartbreak and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Katie May Beauchamp (aka Katie May Rutherford) on October 27, 2021 at the age of 30. Katie was born on April 11th 1991 in Scarborough but raised in Midland.

She was an innate entrepreneur presently residing in Barrie. She owned and operated a well-established and successful dog walking and pet care service, DogHike.ca. and her accredited Interfaith Officiant business. Her passion for animals was immeasurable and she spent her life caring for and rescuing many of them and providing them a life they only dreamed about. Katie will be remembered by many from her family, her many friends, from her dog business, from officiating many weddings through her Simcoe Weddings business and her many other affiliations.

If you are fully vaccinated, we welcome you to attend on Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at 2pm for a funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Parish (28 Robert St. W, Penetanguishene). Attendees are welcome to arrive to pay their respects to the family at 1:30pm. Katie will be interned at a private family gathering at the St. Anne’s Cemetery the following week.

Zoom details for those who are unvaccinated or cannot attend in person will be shared as soon as possible.

There will be a reception to celebrate Katie’s life, following Mass from 3:30 to 6:30 at the Midland Cultural Centre, King Street, Midland for the fully vaccinated and masks must be worn as per Covid protocol for large indoor gatherings.

If you wish to send flowers they can be delivered to St. Anne’s Church no earlier than Nov. 10th or if you wish to make a donation to a charity of your choice or Mental Health Organizations/Research or any OSPCA, in memory of Katie, we ask that you please have them send an acknowledgement to her mother, Lorraine Beauchamp (329 Lescaut Dr., Midland, ON L4R 4R6) or by email to [email protected], Richard Beauchamp at [email protected] and [email protected].

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Katie May 💔 After a long battle with mental health and depression heaven gained an angel way too soon. She was truly loved by so many people and all of the fur babies.
