What an exciting year!
MBIS MBISS Can GCHEx Am GCHS RiverMist Broxden Magnuttic FDJ CGN AGN AGNJ, "Arthur" finished 2022 as the #1 Dog of All Breeds in Canada in Conformation!
This is the first time in Canadian history that a Brittany has held this honour. Arthur also finished the year with more points than any other Sporting Dog in Canadian history and 60 career Bests In Show.
Arthur was the Sporting Group Winner at the Space Coast Kennel Club show held in conjunction with the 2022 AKC National Specialty Show in Orlando. On his way to Orlando, he was shown in Oaks, PA where he was the winner of 4 competitive Sporting Groups and a huge Best In Show.
Arthur was the 2021 American Brittany Club National Specialty Top 20 Winner and the 2022 Canadian National Specialty Show Winner as well as the winner of multiple large AKC specialty shows under renowned Sporting Group judges and many Sporting Specialty shows here in Canada.
Arthur is the true quintessential Brittany who has not only excelled in the show ring but also in the field, in agility and as an amazing family pet.
As a breeder we can only dream that we will produce a dog who can exemplify the breed standard at the highest level. It is truly one in a million to be lucky enough to have that dog end up in a home where he is not only loved as a cherished family companion but is also afforded the opportunity to present the culmination of the efforts of the multiple breeding programs behind him.
I could not be more grateful for Arthur's amazing owners Craig and Diane Storey for the opportunities that they have given Arthur and for allowing me to come along for the ride.
Arthur's puppy career started with CJ Dyment on the end of the lead. CJ was the perfect handler for a young energetic Brittany puppy and for owners new to dog shows. Thank you CJ for all that you did to start Arthur (and Craig and Diane) off on the right foot.
Watching Emily Burdon take the lead with Arthur these past 3 years has been beyond exciting. What Emily accomplished with Arthur exceeds any breeder's dreams. Arthur was presented to perfection and the bond between Emily and Arthur was clearly evident to all who watched ringside. Sincere appreciation to Emily and her Team.
Thank you to the judges who knew and appreciated the Brittany standard and found Arthur and recognized and awarded his qualities.
Thank you to Linda McCartney and Kristyn Stout for breeding Rhett and to all of the breeders who bred the dogs behind him. Thank you also to Rhett's owners Mike and Donna Wilshire.
Finally, thank you to Amy Rodrigues for your support and mentoring in this breed. I can't believe it has been over 10 years since we first started our breeding partnership.
