MINIATURES MONDAYS Swallowtail on Bergamot is a limited edition miniature print, signed & numbered on the back, based on a life-sized original artwork by Shelly Hawley-Yan.

It is framed in wood, behind real, very thin glass. Maximum dimension (outer frame) is 1" so it will work in either 1/12th or 1/24th scale settings.

Hi everyone!

I have an exciting event that I would like to share with you. As you may know, I am a member of the South Simcoe Arts Council, a not-for-profit organization that promotes Arts for All by supporting local artists (like me) and providing meaningful and accessible art activities for the public.

The South Simcoe Arts Council (SSAC) is having a fundraiser on Sunday, September 22nd from 1pm - 5pm. It will be held at Windrush Estate Winery, 3100 Concession Road 3 Adjala, Palgrave, ON. Is going to be a wonderful afternoon of art, music, food and wine.

There will be a live painting contest going on throughout the afternoon. Artists will be located around the scenic grounds of the winery. Guests can watch the paintings take shape before their eyes, and vote for their favourite. The top three will go on to a speed round to determine the winner. At the end of the afternoon, the paintings will be auctioned off.

During the afternoon, guests can take a guided tour of the winery and taste five international award winning wines, including the featured Artful Chardonnay. You will meet John and Marilyn, the charming and knowledgable owners of Windrush Estate. Wine will also be available for purchase by the glass (to enjoy on their barrel patio) or bottle (to savour at home).

There will be live music, light refreshments and various activities throughout the afternoon. We will be taking full advantage of the late summer weather as most of the activities are outdoors. There will be plenty of seating available, as well as picturesque walks throughout the grounds of Windrush.

MINIATURES MONDAYS "Rupert" is a modern style dollhouse artwork inspired by a wee dwarf hamster rescued by Compassion For Paws rescue (compassionforpaws.ca and on IG and FB)

Print from my original digital artwork is adhered to tiny, gallery wrapped canvas using matte gel medium, then hand embellished using fineliner graphic pens. Edges are painted black.

Canvas is 2x2x3/8" and is suitable as a modern art painting in 1/6th or 1/12th scale
