Why Horses? A question we get a lot! Horses help us practice listening skills because they use non-verbal communication. Chewing, yawning and stepping back show us when to listen to the horses. Today we were lucky enough to go to an off-site at @calgaryapraxia !! Apraxia is a communication disorder that can cause difficulties with speaking consistently and correctly. Horses are able to speak without using words, which opens up a line of communication that can make people feel safe and seen without the pressures of using their words! Thanks for having us @calgaryapraxia !! 💗💗
