The West Niagara Fair was a pretty exciting show for us. The kids did amazing. We came with a bunch of wins we did’t even expect.

Beautiful big project horse.
Great prospect for all 3 rings. This 17hh dark bay mare is 6-7yrs old. UTD on all shots, good for the vet and farrier, and barefoot.
Goes out in a group and friendly to everyone. Not mare-ish at all. She has had 2 start as a 2year old at the track, and my friend called me to come get her. She was just too slow. Legs are injury free.
I gave her 1.5yrs off to grow and mature. Trained with voice command to WTC and WHOE on the lunge line.
Under saddle very green and only been sat on a dozen or so times.
My daughter does not ride anymore.
Will need someone with experience to restart her. She is mid $ 🤚👌👌👌 I am open to reasonable offers. Please PM for more info.

Boy did they ever work it at the show, and they all did amazing.

Here are some things our competitors need to do to prepare.
We need to have our West Niagara Saddle Club memberships done by May 9th online. (Link is in the post below).
But before that OEF #’s need to be up to date. You will need it to show and to register for the saddle club. Please forward a screenshot of your OEF card to Ann-Marie

An individual basic membership is sufficient for our students needs.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out.
We are still inquiring if classes and stall rentals need to be paid ahead of time or if we can do that the day of the show. We will keep you posted.
If you are not showing there is no charge to simply come support us and have some fun. There is ample parking at the show grounds.

You know those perfect pictures of people horseback riding?
Those images of a rider & horse being in perfect unison jumping over a jump? The horse’ position looks beautiful! The rider has perfect position! The entire ride / jump seems perfectly timed and executed.
The truth is to get that perfect moment, and have that perfect position, takes hundreds of hours & years of practice, patience, learning and commitment.
To achieve this shot here, took this kid 3.5years.
Some riders learn faster and others get here slower. Either way, it will never happen in 5-10 lessons.
Just remember, you gotta learn to trot before you canter! It’s all about learning to communicate with your horse and the horse understanding what you are asking. The horse will not carry you without you knowing exactly what to do in the right moment and communicating to him that you are ready. Every part of your body, heart, and mind has to say it at the right moment. And that is when, and only when, the horse carries you.
Until then, enjoy the rides no matter what level you are at. Your perfect moments will happen!
