We partnered with 1 OAK Equine Rehabilitation to donate a free magnawave treatment to Preslee Candy and Lindsay Medland’s futurity horses this past weekend at the OBRA Ontario Barrel Racing Association Spring into Summer Show.
Preslee placed 7th on Saturday and 5th in the 1D on Sunday.
Lindsay placed 2nd in the 2D on Saturday and 6th in the 1D on Sunday.
We are so pleased with the progress of these two horses and can’t wait to see what the rest of the show season brings!

What a great learning opportunity!!!
📣ATTENTION📣
We are so excited to announce that we will be organizing a first aid and veterinary care clinic!!
This has been something that we have wanted to do for quite some time 🤗
We will go over a variety of topics and perform a lot of hands on skills. Whether this is your first time attending a first aid course, or if you’d like to brush up on your skills, this clinic is perfect for any equine enthusiast regardless of how much experience you may have!
The clinic will be held at Longacre Stables located in Essex on Saturday and Sunday April 27th & 28th from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The clinic will include a one hour lunch and pre-made first-aid kits will be available for purchase.
There will be many fun activities and raffle prizes!
Registration is $150/person and includes a free lunch and course material.
Spaces are limited to accommodate 20 people per day so hurry and register to reserve a spot!

TRACTOR GUY, is an own son of Frenchman’s Guy out of an Ought to be First mare. Frenchman’s Guy was the leading living sire before his passing in August 2022 with earnings of over $14 million. He was known as the leading all around performance horse sire in 2001-2017, leading sire of Future Fortunes in 2015, and named Future Fortunes Stallion of the year in 2019. Frenchmans Guy was a proven competitor, has a proven pedigree & a professional in the arena. With tremendous speed, stamina & a great mind, his offspring demonstrate the same desirable qualities.
The bottom of this stallion is very bit as impressive as the top. Ought To Be First with a SI of 108, who's offspring earned $2,905,769; 85 AAA, 24 TAAA. Sired by First Down Dash SI 105, sire of Dash Ta Fame, the infamous barrel sire. Dam of Ought to Be first, Ought To Go SI of 96, dam of 2 TAAA and 5 AAA with her offspring earning $492,180.
Tractor Guy produced his first foal crop in spring 2020 with each foal born correct, great-minded and very flashy!

Here’s a statement from Preslee Candy: “A few months ago I purchased ‘Guys Gypsy Blue’ aka June, a 3yo mare by Tractor Guy and out of an own daughter of Spooks Gotta Gun. It is safe to say that June is truly a one of a kind! I also just purchased a yearling from 1Oak stables ‘Guys Lucky Seven’ and I am so excited to see how similar he will be to his half sister. Working with young horses is always a long journey but the smart, level headed, athletic horses from 1OAK Stables certainly make that journey a very enjoyable one. June is easily one of the best horses I’ve ever ridden, and I absolutely adore her as she is truly the sweetest mare you’ll meet. June is set to futurity in 2024 and the more I exhibition her the more excited I get to enter her. We were so pleased to see Emma Rennie and her family at the OBRA Ontario Barrel Racing Association Finals in Clinton this past weekend with her yearling colt “Rip”. This lovely yearling colt is out of our stallion Tractor Guy out of a proven own daughter of Dash Ta Fame mare. Emma and her family have invested a lot of time into training this young horse and we’re confident that they will make a great team together in the next upcoming years!!! We would also like to thank the OBRA and everyone involved, for putting on another great show season😊 we’re looking forward to next year!!
