Despite the dry conditions, some of our cover crops are looking quite promising. This field of red clover is just starting to flower and is becoming a pollinator stopping ground.

It was a beautiful evening to finish up swathing canola. Although the rain slowed down our wheat harvest it improved conditions for cutting canola.

Levi has been busy baling straw. He really got the hang of it!! We have lots for sale at the farm for $5/bale.

Day number one of harvest 2022 is in the books. Our first field of wheat is safely stored in the bin.

This year we planted a few different types of clovers with the wheat. This crimson clover will hopefully keep growing as a cover crop after the wheat is harvested to add nitrogen and organic matter for next year’s canola crop.

This spring we picked up a couple of lawn mowers. They’ve been hard a work these last couple of weeks!!

Yay!!! It’s definitely been a challenging spring to plant in but we’re finally done. This is the latest we’ve ever planted. Some of our early wheat is looking really good.

The weather definitely cooperated this week and we were able to get just under half out planting done. This rain will help get everything germinated and let me catch up on sleep. 😁🥵
