Today, I said ‘good bye”to my scout and sentinel. It’s moving day tomorrow, but we got to hang out one more time and it was a perfect day! We went from a foggy morning walk by the airport to another gorgeous day at the lake, had sticks amd bones and one last cuddle🥲I will miss my Mexican girlfriend , so grateful, I got to be part of your life for a little while. Hope lots of great adventures are waiting for you, happy trails Chica💖😎🐾💜
There is a new kid on the block. She loves car rides , especially, if she can ride shotgun. Today, I learned, she also loves rescuing rocks from the lake, gently placing them on the shore, a job she performes with dedication.😎🐾
Saying „ good bye“ to an extremely dry and often hot summer. My summer time friends had a nice mixture of lazy dog/cat days and fun adventures, and I got to watch some spectacular sunsets. But all good things come to an end ,so hello fall. Remember school has started , watch out for all the eager pupils ! Happy trails😎🐾
The “good girl” giving me the side eye, after I finished telling her how bad she was for chasing after a bear cub. Don’t think she agrees with my assessment , but then she doesn’t realize, how lucky we were, the angry mama didn’t show up🍀… Another cheeky message….And the best place to be, when under a heat dome😎try and stay cool🐾
August already! This week , we went for a moonlight walk, we encountered cheeky squirrels teasing us, noted cheeky messages and other adornments
Left on the trails we walked, and every afternoon enjoyed a well deserved little siesta on the dock.Have a great long weekend!😎🐾

The rest of the week was very busy.Got to see my Mexican girlfriend( who is moving away soon 😢).then I had to check in with little Roxie, who’s dad got stuck on the other side of the hump. A reminder, with these erratic road closures, it’s a good idea to have somebody as back up for your pets! Then I got ready for my next “hardship” assignment with the “good girl’ I get to hang out here for a while.I love my job!😎🐾
After 3 weeks with my hiking buddy /adventurer, I felt a little lost after saying good bye to her, she is such good company. But , lucky for me, a new friend was waiting to welcome me! She lives in a rural setting and has her own little kingdom, and now me , to protect.Also great company and fun to hang out with.🤗 yeah!😎🐾
Came across a few of these little snakes, trying to warm up in the morning sun. We were doing the opposite all week, seeking shade or water to cool off, sometimes waiting until sundown to go for a walk. Nice to have a little bit cooler weather in the forecast.😎🐾
This past week,I got a postcard from Dre and Princess, getting ready for some summer fun. Cuties!
With the hot weather here, we‘ve been going for walks really early in the morning, always packing water and after a horror story one dog owner related to me, about him and his dog being attacked by mud wasps ( after accidentally disturbing their nest), I now also carry Benadryl.That was a scary story.
I took some old friends for a swim and visited some new friends and the week just flew by.

Reunited with my hiking buddy for the next few weeks. Started off by getting us lost in the Roger Creek Trails, added about an hour to our hike on a hot afternoon, but this girl is always up for an adventure! Talk about burning energy. Today, I picked a safe walk and took my girl for a swim at the lake and later, we watched the Grad parade in support of a couple of lovely girls, I work with- Breanne and Emily, you are awesome! Congratulations to the entire Class of 2023

When Chica found out, I took one of my „other friends“ to Wiener Falls, she was apparently a bit put out. So, today I tried to make it up to her. I found a trail, we had never been on before, with lots of critters hiding in the underbrush, an occasional view of Mt.Aerrowsmith, an out of reach woodpecker and a lot of interesting smells. I think , I redeemed myself😎🐾
Signs of spring everywhere! Yesterday,on a day that felt more like summer than spring, the good girl and I finally made it to Wiener Falls. Today, with cooler temperatures , we got in a nice long hike and I found out, the good girl is also a good hunter-i guess , it’s the nature of the beast.😎🐾
All week, Chica and I have tried to dodge the heavy rain, and for the most part , we got lucky. My scout seeking out high ground to determine the best way forward, just to lead me into the jungle with impassable, raging rivers, huge mud holes and pathways strewn with tripping hazards .But rain or shine, we love it!😎🐾
Introducing two beautiful new friends- Maggie “Mae” and Roxie “ Roller”
Maggie is the young , exuberant, -run through the bush at full throttle, get wet as often as possible- kind of girl and Roxie , at 15 years old, has the -slow and steady wins the race-kind of approach. They both crashed after the walk, which means, I have done my job 🤗
And then today , rain turned into sunshine🙏, so hope you get to enjoy the outdoors . Happy Easter,everyone🐣😎🐾
So, spring break is over. From many foggy mornings to mostly sunny afternoons, the adventurer, the scout and the princess kept me busy walking around our beautiful valley these past weeks (I think , I wore the princess out lol)Hope you all got to do something fun ! 😎🐾

Also, introducing Princess Stella , the first small dog in my care. Getting used to a different walking pace, especially on- leash, it’s either pulling like a steam engine or stopping for very long intervals of sniffing- and of course there is the red local gossip column, need to make time for a good catch-up.And how about this weather for spring break?🍀😎🐾
On a foggy morning, navigating sticks and stones, ancient treasures, multiple bridges, some of which provided a lot of information to a sensitive nose and then a dip in the creek(brrr). A walk worthy of the Paradise Adventure Club😎🐾
Today, the trails were a muddy,squishy mess, but my little treasure hunter didn’t seem to mind. She didn’t find any big adventures off the beaten path today neither, but seemed happy with sticks and big mud puddles and at the end, there was even a hint of sunshine😎🐾
Had some pretty fun snow days this winter ! Last week out at the west coast, snow covered parts of the beach, it was a stunning day out there, but I think, I am done with winter. Can’t wait for spring to arrive now.😎🐾
Yesterday, woke up to a beautiful snow day in The Valley. Spent the morning going through my doggie photos and it struck me, how many different personalities I have encountered over the last months, and I thought I would share some of these adorable pics. I forgot all about Valentine’s, but Dre and Princess reminded me- so, Happy Valentine’s Day Y’ all. I had a perfect “date” with my mexican girlfriend - fresh snow on the mountains, frozen puddles and cold wind, but sunshine to warm our faces-great way to spend time with a friend💜😎🐾
Always looking for new trails to explore and today my hiking buddy and I found one-had a great walk, until this girl decided, she wasn’t going to be the only one coming out of the bush muddy- but who can be mad at a face like that and a big Thank you on the way home?💖😎🐾
On our walk today, we took some turns and ended up on this ”nature obstacle course”. A lot of fun for a very nimble dog- me, not so much lol. I made it though with only minor scratches and bruises. But hey, the things I do for my furry friends😎🐾
This guy runs like the wind, frequently leaving me in the dust. He also likes to go, where I can’t follow. And just as we are finishing our walk in the rain, the sun decides to come out. Well Salty, I hope you enjoyed this weekend as much as I did.😎🐾
This morning, getting ready for our walk, no rain! Looks like the Scottish broom is taking over some of our favorite trails, we actually had to turn back, because at that point the trail was totally overgrown. In the other direction we passed some white geese? Or are these swans? This city slicker can’t tell the difference lol😎🐾
My friend ‘Salty” is the most energetic dog , I walked so far. He never stopped running for about 90 minutes, he actually sniffs while he runs. I think , I have to up my game 😎🐾
More of the white stuff - makes for slippery slopes, for humans that is. This girl likes to come around corners full speed, slippery or not😎🐾

Today, out at the airport on a beautyful, cool morning,having some off-leash fun. To my surprise, little Ruby is the one charging ahead without looking back, Leroy definitely has some herding instincts, coming back periodically to nudge my hand ,Rosie is always aware, not straying too far. I ended up putting Ruby on a leash. I was concerned, she might look like a tasty , little morsel to a cougar ,or even an eagle . But fun was bad by all and now , all three have crashed and are fast asleep. Yeah, mission accomplished !😎🐾
