D'arcy will be available in about 3 weeks time to give private sessions to people who are looking for help with their horses, and how to communicate better with them, We have a 60 ft round pen, an arena, and trails with different obstacles on them to help you with your horse. Cost is $40 an hour, and $30 an hour for each subsequent hour past the first hour. Or come with a friend and do the session at the same time together and the cost is $60 an hour, and $50 an hour for each subsequent hour. We are 45 mins west of Quesnel. Here are some upcoming dates for clinics we will be holding at Merston Creek Ranch.

May 22nd to 24th - 3 day Trust and Confidence Clinic with Darcy Luttmer. Cost is $420 per person, which includes a spot to camp, a pen for your horse, and all meals. Maximum 6 people.

May 29th to 31st - 3 day Trust and Confidence Clinic with Darcy Luttmer. Cost is $420 per person, which includes a spot to camp, a pen for your horse, and all meals. Maximum 6 people.

June 5th to 7th - 3 day Packing Clinic with Colleen Luttmer (nee Murhpy). Cost is $540 per person, which includes a spot to camp, horses and gear to practice packing with, and all meals. Maximum 6 people.

June 18th to 21st - 4 day C**t Starting Clinic with Darcy Luttmer. Cost is $560 per person, which includes a spot to camp, a pen for your horse, and all meals. Maximum 6 people.

Are there any hardy souls out there that would be interested in a 3 day Trust and Confidence clinic about mid-October? Accommodations are camping. Cost is $130/day. This includes the clinic, a spot to camp, a pen for your horse and meals.

We have 3 retired outfitter horses looking for new homes. These horses have spent their entire lives in the mountains riding and packing. They're not fast horses, but are very safe horses. D'arcy had a 5 yr old part draft horse come in for training this past month. The horse wasn't really halter broke, and would walk right through whoever or whatever he wanted to because of his size. D'arcy pulled out his old faithful rope horse Joey, to teach the gelding some manners and how to lead. Here are a few pictures.

Second day, first ride on Q, 3 yr old QH mare in for training. Really nice mare. She walked and trotted out nice and relaxed.

July 10-12, 2020. Problem Horse Clinic. This is a 3 day clinic geared towards people who have a horse that has a problem they need help working through, such as bolting, spooking, trailer loading, etc......Cost is $360. This includes meals, a camping spot and a pen. for your horse. Maximum 4 people.

Wondering if, since both of our Confidence and Trust clinics for June filled up so fast, is there anyone interested in a c**t starting clinic at the beginning of June or even July if we can find the time. This would cover the first ride and the process of getting to that point, riding in both the round pen and the arena and getting the basics such as walk,trot,lope,stop,turns,backup and more depending on how fast each person and horse progress. Let us know if you would like to attend a clinic like this. Thanks..

This clinic is for you and your horse to build confidence and trust in each other using both man made obstacles and natural obstacles you'd find out on the trails, including, mud, creeks, bridges, hills, trees and logs. This will be a fun packed 3 days, spending time with your horse and other like-minded people. Maximum 4 riders. Your horse needs to be able to be safely ridden in at least an arena setting to take part in this clinic. Phone 250 249-9613 to book your spot.

Darcy has space available for 2020 for c**t starting. Book before the end of April, and get 2 days included at the end of the months training to spend at the ranch with Darcy learning how your horse works. This includes meals, and camping space. A $120/day value.
