As we're winding down summer...we'd like to take a second and thank 2 very special young people! 🤩

We were VERY fortunate to have Peyton Church and Max McCarroll collecting some volunteer hours at the kennel this summer! They worked hard, and of course, got loads of petting time in with some of our visitors. 🐾🐾 A win-win for everyone!! Lol! Which do you think they preferred, work or petting dogs? 🤔🤭 GREAT JOB PEYTON AND MAX!!!! 🙌🙌

SAGE IS ONE YEAR OLD TODAY! 🎈🥳🎈

She is a GORGEOUS Belgian Malinois mix, and is here for her usual 2 week/mth while her parent works up north. 🐾🐾 She absolutely LOOOVES squeaker balls....so of course we had to get her a shiny new 6 pack to enjoy. 🤭 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAGEY!! 🎁🎂 WE LOVE YOU!! ♥️

We had some visitors at Creekside today! 🌞

Eldon and Janice are visiting from Community Living Renfrew with their good friend, Sharon Vincent! Sharon does wonderful work for Community Living, and wanted to come and see some DOGS! 🐕 🐩🐶 She had two very willing participants, and as you can see, the dogs were very happy to see someone else here for once! 🤭💕 Thank you to Sharon to providing Eldon and Janice a wonderful experience today!! Also thank you to Frankie, Mazey, R***r and Hardy! 🐾🐾

This is what it looks like to have a beautifully relaxed and happy pack of 10 "farm" dogs. 🤭🐶 We peacefully enjoyed strolling in the warm sunshine all afternoon. 💕 On days like today, we like to spend most of our time outside. 🙌 There's nothing like being in the presence of so many calm doggie energies. 🥰 We hope you are all soaking up some much needed Vitamin D this weekend! 🌞🌞🌞🌞

🚨 PUPPY ALERT - FREYA 🚨

This little sweetie pie is Freya! 😍 She is a 6mth old Cane Corso/Dogo Argentino mix. To say that she will be a big girl would be an understatement!

This was her first stay with us and as you can see...she is quite comfortable in her environment. 💕 Freya was a tad timid with the other dogs upon introduction, but that feeling quickly went out the window. 🤣 We always make sure to judge body languages and energies, putting the same together, so everyone feels their absolute BEST during and after their socialization experience. GREAT WORK FREYA! 🐾

Our morning routine! 😍
1st out are Piper and Molly! These 2 are absolute darlings and are always up for cuddles. 💕
3rd is Sheldon the Lab...who always inspects what his friends have packed for their vacation before exiting. 🤭
4th is Penny...a Lakeland Terrier with S***K! 🥰
5th is Coco...a Portuguese Water Dog! So gentle and sweet with kisses! 💓
6th is Boxer girl Tater...full of energy and WIGGLES as you can see! 🤣💗
Last but not least is our neighbour gal Elsa the Lab...who lives for her toys and pets! 💖

Hoping everyone was out enjoying the sunshine like we were today! 😎🌞🐕

Urgent Fosters Needed

Yep, another foster plea. With the high volume of intakes, we're always asking and hoping you, or you know someone who can help. We rely on our wonderful fosters to love and care for our sweet babies while they get ready for their forever homes. As many homes as we have available, we're full and need more.

Foster requirement clarity as we've seen some comments on our posts that are shared, and other rescue's posts as well. Some common (nicer) ones are "Well maybe if they didn't have so many rules","They always seem to be asking for help", "Isn't any home better than no home" and the best one "They should be free".
What are our rules and requirements you ask? Why do you have these rules? We have these rules to ensure our cats and dogs are placed in loving, committed environments they'll thrive in.
You must be willing to provide a stable, balanced home for our dogs and cats. We look for homes to promote their basic training, mental and physical growth. Your whole family must be on board. Your resident animals must be friendly, well-balanced, vetted, and sterilized. We need 100% commitment from our fosters, when we get the comments "Well we can give it a try and see how it goes" It's hard to bring a dog in on that uncertainty. We understand not every animal fits in every household but for us to pull an animal, we rely on our fosters to care for them until adoption or until previously agreed. Oh, and you must keep your foster dog on a leash and crate train. The domestic animals of Canada are in crisis, so many people rehome their dogs and cats at the first sight of hardship. We do all we can to avoid this, and prep and place them in their forever homes.

That's pretty much it for our "strict" requirements! Give it a shot,
we promise it is worth it.

If you follow our page...you know about these 2 handsome huskeys!!!! 💙💙 Frost and Gritzby were part of a rescue operation made possible through Riverview Rescues last year. 🐾 Numerous dogs were in need of urgent care. We heard the call loud and clear! 📣

Frost has an active lifestyle with his new owner...and as you can see he is a very happy boy!! 💙😍💕

Gritzby gets to spend his days relaxing, along with oodles of time outside with his wonderful owner, in a beautiful country setting. 💙😍💕 We were lucky enough to have a recent stay with Gritz!

Just as they should be...happy, loved and well cared for. Makes our hearts all nice and squishy!!! 🤭 SO PROUD OF YOU, BOYS!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹

This gorgeous little tart is Poppy...a 7 year old Chihuahua! Her WONDERFUL owner recently rescued Poppy from a tough life of constant breeding. She now gets to enjoy her days with love, happiness and freedom!! 🥹 Just look at that fun-loving energy...A BEAUTIFUL NEW LIFE FOR YOU LITTLE POPPY!!!! 💕💓💗

🚨PUPPY ALERT - NASH 🚨

Nash is a 3 month old Bernese Mountain Dog...just look at that furry lil NOGGIN!! 🥹😭🥹 This weekend is his first time at a kennel, and also being introduced to this many dogs at once! 🥳

He's helping me clean here, while the others are outside playing, with the help of Terry. 🙌 I like to spend some alone time with each dog to make sure they're comfortable, we all get some love in, and they get to explore the environment. As you can see...Nash is comfortable. 🤣

With the help of Skylar, Sophie, Mack, Mika, Polly, Elsa, Raven and Stevie...who are all wonderfully social and 100% trustworthy...he's learning how it works while in the presence of other dogs. These interactions are allowing his little brain to download all the important stuff, for a lovely dog in the future. WAY TO GO NASH!!! 🎈

OSCAR 💙

Just look at his heel...absolutely beautiful! Oscar was a street dog in Egypt before his parents rescued him. He's an extremely good listener, and is a very social young man. It's hard to not wonder about his previous footsteps, and where they took him!
