Happy Friday!!! We will be closed @12 today reopening on Wednesday 😊 why so many long weekends you ask- because we love summer and are trying to squeeze in as much of it as we can ♥️

The Cattery is full with some of our very favourite guests 🐈‍⬛ all scheduled pick ups and drop offs are ON ✅

❌ Closed Wednesday as the town is doing construction and we will have no water - All grooming appointments for this day have been rescheduled
✅ Open Thursday and Friday for all scheduled Grooming appointments and Cattery drops
❌ Closed this Saturday

✅All Cattery operations are ongoing as usual 😻 Our cats receive care 365 days a year regardless if we are “Open” or not - boarding is 24/7 ♥️

☀️HEAT EXHAUSTION INFO☀️

Overheating is a very real problem for your pets in this hot weather- serious illness and even death can occur. We wanted to share some information to help keep your pets cool & safe:

⛱️ Keep your pet inside or in the shade. If you have outdoor cats, keep them in where it’s cool during this heat wave. Set up a fan in the shade or keep them in the AC if possible.

🚷 Do not encourage strenuous exercise. If you usually take your dog for on runs or bike rides, leave them at home. High energy dogs often will not slow down on their own until they are actively overheating- so you need to make that decision for them.

💦 Make sure there is COLD water available for them and encourage drinking. For cats, mixing some tuna juice or setting up a fountain can help promote drinking. For dogs, set up a kiddie pool or have some fun with the hose in your backyard (this is a great way to burn energy for those high energy dogs INSTEAD of running, biking, throwing the ball etc)

🍦Offer cool treats! DIY pup-scicles, a little vanilla ice cream, or even just mix some cold water into their food.

🧊 Consider getting a cooling mat or cloth for your pet to lay on- available at pet stores or on Amazon!

🚨Pets that are HIGH RISK for heat exhaustion:
~ Overweight or obese pets
~ Pets with heart/lung conditions
~ Brachycephalic breeds (pugs, bulldogs, Persians- any pet with a flatter nose)

📢 Signs of Heat Exhaustion:
~ Vomitting & diarrhea
~ Unsteady when walking or unable to stand
~ Warm to the touch (warmer than usual)
~ Fast or abnormal breathing & heart rate

Yes this is common sense but time and time again I have come out of a store and seen a dog locked in a hot car, a crowd gathers and 1 or more people are getting ready to break the window ☀️🔥Please leave pets at home if making any stops in this crazy heat ☀️🔥Even if it’s just running in a store for a minute, it’s to long- we all get held up and unexpected delays happen!

The .sba 2025 Calendar Contest is officially open for entries! (Link in comments). Voting will be open for 6 weeks, and the top 12 pets with the most votes will each have their own month in the calendar. The 1st place pet will get the cover as well!

Calendar sessions will be at in Riverview on August 18th and August 20th.

Good evening Fur family!
I just wanted everyone to check your 🗓️ calendars to make sure your pets grooming appointments aren’t falling on vacations or 🏕️ weekends away- We are booked out and there is no wiggle Room or upcoming availability’s, that being said we are not taking new dog grooming clients as we barley have availability to rebook our current clients 😅 as always we are always taking new cat grooming clients as there is a serious need in our area for skilled cat groomers and the wait can be months for a cat in need 🐈‍⬛

⚡️Our no show policy is in effect, if an appointment is missed or canceled with less than 24 hours notice, there is a $25 no show fee for the first offence- any missed appointment thereafter is the full Cost of the groom⚡️

🐈‍⬛ Our Cattery is fairly booked, do book as soon as you have your dates to avoid disappointment 🐈

We do have some long weekends and days booked off, pls call or send a message for drop in services so you don’t miss us ♥️ Wishing everyone a Happy and safe Summer season
