We have been hobby farming for the past 15 years and, through different experiences, have realized the therapeutic value of all of our animal to both ourselves and others...who knows what the future will hold for the farm!

Wondering if my neighbors could keep an eye out for a guinea hen. He’s a new boy to the farm and has literally flown the coop. His new girlfriend, who has been here for years, has been calling for him and suspect he’s hiding in the trees close by.
Don’t try to catch him, that’s a losing battle, but let me know if you see him and we’ll lure him back😊

Poor Gabriel lost his girl last week to a preditor but, surprisingly, seems to find comfort in our wild geese visitors.
They hang with him until we call him back to the barn then they fly off.
He needs extra attention from everyone right now… poor little guy!

This week we lost one of of our farm residents. Honey was a senior girl we adopted 3 years ago and she was in pretty bad shape. She loved her new herd and became a relatively healthy part of her family. Like any old lady, she was set in her ways and quite entertaining.
The ag vets (who are so good to us) determined old age as the cause and she went fairly quickly.
We will miss her… rest in peace little honey bee❤️

Not a lot of wildlife on the cameras this time of year because the snowmobiles are busy but this little one crntured out. Hope he stays down below… cute but deadly for chickens!

The finish brought out some nice colours. First picture is cut, second sanded with some shaping, third is the finished product.
The fourth picture is our dearly departed Dolly… this one’s for her☺️

Yes, I forgot to include the queen in yesterday’s pictures. Here she is in all her glory having breakfast with her favourite rooster, Ugly Andy Jr.
