Hello everyone!

While we are very excited to re-open from tomorrow, we'd like to clarify that we will be following strict government restrictions.

First, the government has mandated that we can only offer grooming services when it’s strictly necessary for an animal’s heath and well-being.

As we take public heath measures very seriously, please note we’ll be taking appointments only for dogs and cats that are in need of *urgent* grooming care.

That is to say, if your pet’s hair is not in need of urgent grooming, please reach out to us a little later when the case numbers drop and the restrictions ease so that we can all do our part in lowering the spread of COVID-19.

If you need to make an appointment, please give us a call. To prevent any contact with other clients, we ask that you keep the drop-off and pick-up time sharply. We will not take any walk-ins and we will take only one pet at a time.

The provincial government says it will allow pet grooming businesses to open under a curbside drop-off and pickup model. Grooming must also be necessary to prevent an animal from requiring veterinary care.

We're very happy and relieved to say Ellen is all recovered and upon getting tested, she has tested negative for COVID-19.

We have re-opened as of today, but please note that it will take longer than usual to book an appointment. Currently, openings are availably only after July.

As we very well expect your pets are in urgent need of grooming, we would encourage you to find other grooming places for a faster appointment.

We thank you for your understanding and we wish you and your pet happy days together during this very difficult time.

To our dear clients, we were eager to welcome our canine and feline friends for their much needed spring/summer hair-cut but as Ellen the groomer has fallen ill, our store remains closed until she's fully recovered.

As there is an overwhelming flood of requests, please be advised that it may take up to more than 3 weeks to book an appointment.

If the condition of your dog or cat's requires urgent attention, we would like to recommend our former groomer, Ami, at KonnichiPaw Grooming.

We greatly apologize for the wait and we thank you for your understanding.

To make an appointment, please leave a voice mail at 416-534-7416. Please note we do not book appointments by facebook messenger. For those of you that left a message on facebook, we will make the exception to be in touch--but from this point on, please note we will only take appointments by phone.

As all operations will be by appointment-only, please call us for nail clipping as well. And last but not least, let us all keep the drop-off/and pick-up times, exercise care and social distancing for everyone's sakes. Thank you. See you soon! 🐶😻

To our valued customers,

As the situation with COVID-19 is growing increasingly serious, the safety our customers and our community is our top priority. For this reason, we are temporarily closing for the next 2 weeks, starting today, March 21st.

We miss all of our furry friends, who have been waiting to take off their winter coats and get their spring haircuts. However, to keep our community safe, let's wait a few more weeks and hope the situation gets better.

To our dear clients,

As we as a society navigate this precarious time in battling the spread of COVID-19, we’d like to re-assure that at Ellen’s Pet Care, we are committed to ensuring the health, well-being and hygiene of our canine and feline friends and their families.

We request any client exhibiting any symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose or fever to stay home and abstain from making any appointments for their pet.

As of today, we will be reducing our hours of operation to 11 am to 4pm. We remain closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. We will only take appointments. For nails, please call us and let us know in advance when you’ll be dropping by to limit the number of simultaneous visits at our store.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take necessary steps in line with government guidelines to do what is best for public health and safety.

We wish everyone good health and hopeful spirits during this time!
