☀️ Eclipse Advice☀️

Just like every other day, animals (including pets and wildlife), never stare directly at the sun. There is no risk to your pet’s eyesight nor do you need to change your routine or to go out of your way to keep pets inside or to close curtains.

Our advice is to keep calm and carry on 😎

Prevention is the best approach. However, if you find a tick on your pet, make sure you know how to remove it safely!
A tick hook and proper technique will ensure the entire tick is removed.

This dog was found in the Malagash Road area last night (March 31/2024). Very friendly, tan female, possibly Shepherd/Husky/Akita mix. She is microchipped but we are unable to determine the owner. Please contact the clinic if you are missing her! 902-893-4331

Access is via an app on your phone or via an online portal on your computer. You will be able to manage your information and reminders, request refills and appointments and customize your pets ID info.

Cats are masters of disguise when it comes to showing signs of pain. Older cats with arthritis will often have changes in their ability to jump up on things, have mobility changes on stairs and reduced or altered play behaviour. If you have an older cat with any mobility issues consider talking to your veterinarian... There is a new treatment for arthritic pain in cats. Solensia is a very safe an effective injection given monthly.
