today marks the end of a journey that I didn’t think I’d get to so soon 🥺
starting my small business has been one of the greatest joys of my life so far, having the privilege to meet so many new people and help make a difference in the life of so many dogs has been incredible. I’ve been able to make new connections that I know will last a lifetime.
I wanted to thank not only each and every one of my clients but also my friends, family and this community for their endless support, love and trust.
It has been my absolute pleasure getting to know every single one of the dogs I got to work with, watching them overcome obstacles, build confidence and grow into themselves. Allowing them to put a smile on my face when I have a bad day or when the weather is less than desirable, we always managed to make the most of our time together.
It has been a wonderful 2.5 years and I’m so sad to close this chapter but excited for the new one I am about to embark on 🥹 I will miss you all dearly.
Thank you for being apart of my journey, my story, I am forever grateful.

Today someone said to me “he looks like a show dog, he’s so well behaved!” referring to Patches who was focusing on me while we passed the woman on the sidewalk!
Patches can be reactive towards people, he doesn’t much love having others in his space. Which is why it is so important to advocate for your dog and also give them the tools to help them tackle stressful situations alongside you. It can truly be a long and challenging road but it can be done, don’t give up hope!

BRRR 🥶
It was a chilly day today but we all bundled up and made the most of it!
In weather like this it’s so important that your dog have the right gear to keep them warm and comfortable while out adventuring, things like booties and a good quality thermal jacket will help with road salt, the wind chill and the overall cold/dampness in the air and makes the experience more enjoyable for everyone!
But remember, it’s also very much okay to take a few days off of outdoor adventures and do some inside work, like nosework, learning a new trick, enrichment games/toys, hide & seek or working your obedience! Working their mind is just as important as working their bodies! ⛄️

Don't Get Stuck In A Box!

There's no better feeling as a handler than when the pieces start to fall into place while training your dog. In the beginning it's exciting, you're learning, they’re learning, your goals are being reached, you are finally able to have that relationship with your dog that you've always wanted.

The problem comes when that plateau hits, we become complacent, we let things slide, subconsciously give our dogs the benefit of the doubt because they are "trained" and truthfully this is when the real training begins.

Training never stops, think of your dog as a muscle, if you stop working out, you will lose your progress. This is your reminder to change it up! Create challenges for yourself and your dog to accomplish together.

Challenge your relationship and trust, work on some new obedience routines in a new location, learn a new trick you can show off to family and friends.

Sky's the limit when it comes to training and enriching our dogs' lives.

We need to remember first and foremost the training isn't just for us, it's for our dogs, it's their outlet for mental and physical exercise, it makes their day to day life enjoyable and gives them something to look forward to doing with us!
We are our dogs best friends for their whole life, and it's a friendship we will think about and cherish for the rest of our lives.
