Most of you know that I'm a vet tech, which means when an interesting case happened to our own dog Juniper, it leads to a great teaching moment.

Last night, as we were eating dinner, we gave Juni a bully stick as a special treat. Shortly after dinner, she started acting off, so we ended up bringing her to the emergency clinic. With a little investigation, we found the end of the stick lodge in her throat! Thankfully, they were able to remove it, and I was able to pick her up this morning.

That being said, I thought this was an interesting situation as a whole and will now be advising owners against bully sticks or other small chews! Even in direct supervision, things can turn bad quickly!
