DEAR SUPPORTERS,

After many story posts and reaching out, we still couldn’t find a volunteer to go and feed the petrified Forrest dogs in New Cairo at least once a month. SO, we’ve decided that we’ll do that ourselves and feed them twice a week.
HOWEVER,
We need someone to sponsor their food each month as we’re already taking care & feeding 21 street dogs.
You can purchase only 20KGs of any of the following dog food brands once per month and we can meet for a pick-up!

Please help us save one of our oldest and most beloved dogs

Tina aka Tuna needs intensive care.

Tuna one of the oldest dog from the old VOV shelter rescued among 100 plus dogs from a hoarding situation and has been living with us since then.
Tuna has been losing weight drastically over the past two weeks. This angel is about 9 years old and have been under our care for more than three years.
I tried to reach out to her original rescuers but they didn’t reply yet and this can’t wait any longer, she lost more than 2kgs this week for no obvious reasons.
Tina needs urgently to make thorough tests to investigate her properly.

We need approx 3,200 EGP to cover her first week of hospitalization, blood tests, ultrasound and transporting to two clinics.
Praying for Tuna, we hope we can find out what’s wrong with her soon to start proper treatment immediately .
I’m trying to be positive, she’s old and have had many issues last year but were cleared.
Please please help us cover Tina’s costs, our shelter is struggling to keep up with all the new prices and Tina’s condition is a priority.
Friends please help provide for animals I’m only one person and the burden is EXTREMELY heavy.

Welcome to safety Neo.

When I was contacted about him,I didn’t know he is much worse than the photos.

The look in his eyes tells all the pain this boy have been through lonely for very long time.
Disconnected from every being and longing for deep rest yet have to survive while carrying this immense painful weight.
I hope the bad days are over for this weak boy, only with proper care and attention time will strengthen him.
Aside from his terrible skin condition, he has open sores of what seems like tumor tissue formation and only god knows now what else, we need to investigate him properly in oder to be able to help him.
His vetting bill will be long and probably will be costly.

Update on Yasmina who is looking for a home

This beauty had to undergo few months to recover, she suffered a lot before she came to us and happily transformed to such a beauty.
Yasmina is about 8 years old so sweet and kind, she will stay with us till hopefully adopted.
Thanks to the kind angel rose who covered her medical journey.
Yasmina had a uterus infection, very bad skin mange and lots of other issues, including breast fluids, eye infections, vaginal discharges and more. She is a tough girl and real survivor. Yasmina needs to be operated and spayed to avoid future complications.
Yasmina still needs also to be vaccinated before searching for a home, If you can contribute please don’t hesitate

This unlucky boy has been found Bani Suef which is 3 drives away from Cairo, rescuers don’t have means to help him and asked us to intervene and help.
Dumped in the streets by his owners, in a very dire shape.
He is heavily infested with ticks and severely manlnoruished, no other details than that and he has nowhere to stay.. he is so scared and anxious as he has been barking non stop at the local clinic he is staying at. The veterinary acces in Bani Suef is very basic and they don’t have any proper means to vet him.
We need want to help him and need your help to raise nearly 1900 EGP to take him in TODAY to the vet and start vetting as he is suspected with blood parasites infection, in order to start the correct treatment.
-Estimated visit to the clinic:
Examination and blood tests 850 EGP
-First week of hospitalization 1050 EGP

We are so grateful for all the amazing donors and friends for their generous support over August we managed to fundraise approx 68,000 EGP to cover most of our main expenses for August, we couldn’t be more grateful 🙏🏻
September is starting with huge upcoming expenses and we need help to cover the following:
Rent for September 10,000 EGP
-Spraying the shelter against ticks 2,500 EGP
-vetting bills , Anti flea and tick meds, deworming for many of our resident dogs to ensure their health wise. 7,500 EGP
-very necessary maintenance and renovations 4000 EGP
Less necessary but vey needed:
-building new 8 enclosures to accomodate in the new dogs to avoid the crowdness and unnecessary fights approx costs 40,000 EGP.
-secure the premises with a higher fence 9,000 EGP.
-installation of 6 big wall fans 6000 EGP.

This little one needs urgent help, he’s shown up at someone’s building, after his owners let him go and they are currently unable to look after him nor keep him longer.
His condition isn’t good and has ticks and very emaciated, we don’t have any more info about him, he needs to see a vet.
We are so struggling as well but this poor guy needs to be saved asap and can’t be left behind. Will join us today.

Poor Yasmina joined us few days from Alexandria after many friends reported her case and asked us to help.
She is a nearly 7-year-old Baladi, like many other of her kind, suffered a lot in the street we also think she recently had puppies but we couldn’t find them.

Her condition is far worse than we thought, suffering severe skin mange, eye infection, breast infection and Uterus infection.
She is currently on medications and antibiotics and will be scheduled for spaying next week.

Huge welcome to our new team member and our new admin Lamya Shalaby I couldn’t be happier and grateful with our team growing 🙏
Lamya has been involved in the animal rescue community since 2006, recently heavily involved with the Mostakbal city and the horrible poisoning campaigns and was able among other amazing people save more than 150 dogs from certain death.
To coming days for better outcomes to our own animals and hopefully more future ones.

One of the locals tried to sell this handsome fella to us few days ago, obviously stolen so we had to take him in. We are looking for his owners or we will have to put him for adoption.

Starting the new year with an odd rescue, Salem we found him drowning and almost gone.
We kept him on a heating pad for a while till he got recovered and sadly left without being able to take more photos. Even though I’m usually phobic to our smaller friends, i was so happy when he revived back.
