A bit of a shoutout to Eileen Morrison and family for the progress their pup has made. They’ve put patience, understanding and time into him and I had a really nice compliment from a member of the public today to say what a change they have seen. It is really nice to hear that working together with Eileen has made a difference to him and he can enjoy himself on walks. Well done 👏

Unfortunately last week we waved goodbye to 2 of our most loyal clients to start their new adventure. Wishing them the best and hope to hear from them again soon.
This means we now have space for new walking clients.

The ‘leave’ command saved her life. Before she was socialised, before she became comfortable with any other dogs, before we could get her to sit, heel, take food from me outside. When she’d wet herself at the sight of a car, and bark her head off at people walking on the other side of the road. We did this on the kitchen floor every night. The kitchen floor turned to the rugby field at 6am with time and patience that turned to the woods while, mountain bikes rush past, dogs approach, cows share the path. She still would rather chase and herd them all she still detests sharing her walk with them but she tolerates and ignores them because she trusts me when I say leave. A good leader is honest, clear minded, patient, brave and bold. They do not use bribery or force they use trust.

Loving these grab tags. Made from top quality paracord. They’ve been really handy when exercising the dogs in busy areas. They allow us to quickly hold the dog while runners, bikes and cars pass and saves the effort of putting on the lead. They also add some length when using a double ended lead.

🦌Please keep your dogs on a lead when in wild spaces. All too often we are called out to tend to deer (and many other animals) who have suffered as a consequence of being chased by dogs, either through direct bites, shock, chased onto roads or tangled into fences. Often we hear from the dog owner saying that the dog was only playing, or he would never actually bite etc but the sad reality is that it costs deer their lives. It is also increases the risk that the dog ends up on the road chasing the deer or lost.

For those who are just browsing here’s a bit about ourselves.
We are malinois and Shepherd enthusiasts, rescuers walkers and trainers/retrainers.  We work a lot with dogs with reactivity and anxiety but also offer basic obedience on 121 training.
We offer walking services covering Farnham, farnbrough, fleet and aldershot catering for nervous and not nervous dogs.
