Seriously, can you please stop talking and get my salt treatment started 🙄🤣

After just 3 sessions we’ve seen a marked improvement in Bellas dandruff, her coat has an amazing shine to it and her ears are so soft!

Her owner Kelly Wheatley has also noticed that mucus Bella used to get around her nose after running around has decreased and her reverse sneezing has stopped.

It also looks like Bellas sense of smell has improved as she’s picking up scent trails everywhere she goes, something she’s never done before!

Meet beautiful Bella 😍

Bella is a rescue dog that her owner Kelly has nurtured now for 16 months she has gone from feral to a very obedient dog that we are treating itchy dry dandruff skin.

It’s going to be hot hot hot today 🥵☀️

Here are some tips from the Dogs Trust on how to keep your dog happy and healthy in warm weather:

1. Provide shade and water - Make sure your dog has access to shade and plenty of fresh water throughout the day. 😎💧⛱

2. Plan your walkies - Walk your dog in the early morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler. This will reduce their risk of heatstroke. Be particularly careful if your dog is old, overweight or suffers from breathing difficulties. 🚶‍♂️🦮

3. Do the five second tarmac test - Tarmac can get very hot in the sun and could burn your dog’s paws. Check the pavement with your hand before letting your dog walk on it — hold your hand down for five seconds, if it's too hot for you, then it's too hot for your dog's paws. 🥵✋

4. Don't let them get burnt - Keep your dog out of direct sunlight where you can. Use pet-safe sun cream on exposed parts of your dog’s skin, like the tips of their ears and nose. Ask your vet for more advice if needed. 🧢🏖

The lovely Romeo arrived today to start his course of salt therapy.

We pride ourselves in treating every horse as an individual and, after consultation with his owner on his history and condition, selected environmentally friendly, dust extracted cardboard bedding to use in his stable for his stay with us. Something his owner is now considering using when he returns home.

We’ll also be monitoring the pollen count and humidity levels while he is with us to ensure he is grazed or turned out at times most suitable for his condition.

As our sponsored rider, your horse will get an initial x3 day Salt Therapy cleanse (the rider can go in the chamber as well) and top up’s throughout the year, PLUS Equine Chiropractic care at our yard in Aylesford (ME20)

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a local rider who competes regularly with active social media accounts who will be happy to document the progress.
If your horse suffers from any respiratory or skin conditions even better as we can really help you get the best out of your horse.

Should I be worried that my horse has nasal discharge during or after salt therapy?

No, this is actually a great sign and we’re always excited when we see it!

Salt therapy stimulates mucus movement within the respiratory system and nasal discharge is a sign that the mucus is clearing.
Coughing and sneezing during and after treatment is also a sign of this.
